Got the Aluminum and dull Aluminum on, just waiting for that to dry before I put the colors on. This bird requires a flat black anti-glare panel, a white rudder, and a red spinner. That paint ought to be done later today. Anyone else out there still involved?

Update on my aircraft- Layed the 1st paint on the exterior! I'm priming my bird with gloss black paint before the Alclad aluminum goes on it. I'll be spraying my first coat of Alclad on Wed. will have photos then, I think. Tallyho, guys

Wow Jerry, Fantastice. I know this is a month too late but jeez, that's really good. If it weren't for the blue background, I'd say that puppy was 1/1 scale! Thanks for participating!

If anybody cares, here's my completed F84 for this GB. Had a ball.

At least you can't say I didn't finish it.

Not much activity here lately, but I'm on the home stretch. Decals are going on now, and after a little weathering, I will post some finished pics. My bird will be from the 162nd out of Springfield.

Outstanding work in the pit, dragonfly!Thumbs Up [tup] It really has that "lived in " look to it.

On my build, I've gotten the "glass" attached to the fuselage and sprayed a coat of primer. I just have to touch up a few seams and it'll be ready for a coat of gray.

All right...I've gotten off my duff and finally got started. I've aquired decals for an F84 OANG Springfield. So I've got the CP finished. This is the !/48 Promodeler kit with an added PE pit set.

How's the rest of you guys doing?

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't checked in for a while now. I'm making slow progress on the A-7D. Still cleaning up seams at the moment but I'm close to having it ready for paint.

I have my Monogram F-100 kit, and I've ordered a really nice detail kit (cockpit, ejection seat, intake, and exhaust) from Squadron. I'm planning a research trip to the USAF museum to take some reference photos of "Thunderbird 6" some time in the next couple of weeks. Heck, I might even start building the thing some time before Christmas...Wink [;)]

Hey guys, how's everyone been? Alright I actually have some news for you all! I've finally buttoned the fuselage up for my P-51A!!! WOOHOOO! I also added the wings and stabilizers. I've only encountered a couple problems thus far with the Accurate Miniatures kit. The first was that the fuselage has a neasty seam in it, but htat's my fault. I put the nose portion on wrong i thing and that screwed some stuff up down the line. That's ok, nothing a little putty won't fix the next issue is that of the wings. There's a small gap on one of the wings, which is ok, but on the other one there's a big gap... i think the wing got warped a little because i can see a small crease in it. But, with a little time i'll be able to fix it. I should be ready for primer this weekend... or maybe later as saturday is the homecomming dance. I'm looking forward to that, me and the girlfriend are looking to have an excellent time! well, feel free to reply back, i like hearing from you guys (and girl!)

The highlight of my retail career was selling Jim Thome a watch when I was working at Galyan's in Lyndhurst. He isn't just a nice guy by athlete standards... I spent five years in retail and he was one of the most pleasant customers I ever worked with, period.

RadMax you're my kind of guy. My grandfather was at the Ice Bowl and I'm a lifelong Pack fan. I still have some hope for this season but after the miserable officiating (all year but especially yesterday) I've put the NFL on a two-week suspension. No sense getting frustrated at pro-wrestling-quality operations when there are good books to be read and airplanes to be built Cool [8D]
But GO TRIBE!!!! It's them or the Yankess in the AL this year.
Still haven't started my F-107... gotta finish my Six first. Another reason to skip MNF next week...

Hey guys,

I'm relatively new to all this, but I stumbled across this thread (thanks to RadMax8) and thought I'd give it a shot. As for a subject, how about something from the USAF Museum in Dayton? There's a terribly groovy F-100 "Thunderbird" on display there. Would that qualify as an Ohio connection, or is that cheating? Whistling [:-^] If it counts, I can probably have something done by the deadline. I'll try real hard, anyway.

Also, I noticed some mention of my beloved Green Bay Packers. I was born in Green Bay and own one share of Green Bay Packers stock, so I think I qualify as a bonafide Cheesehead. Big Smile [:D]

Radmax, sorry, I have 2 builds going now, and It's all about the decals. Once I decide on some markings, I can break shrink wrap and get started. Still haven't decided on a F84, A7, or F16. Gotta get off my arse, and get cracking.

Well progress has come to a complete STOP for me. I was working on the Wright Flyer yesterday when R-cman came home for lunch, so I thought. He had told me as he was changing out of his work cloths that he had been fired. SNAP is all that I heard after that. I was rigging the plane when I must have pulled to tight or something and the plane broke in half. I tried to reglue it, but you would be albe to see the new seam down the middle of it, So we went back to the LHS and bought a new Wright Flyer. I am not quite up to where I was at the last post of pix but I am close.

Rad-quit knocking yourself. That trail only leads in one direction-DOWN. Things are cool-people are building and Pat Robertson isn't in the GB.

Good luck trowlfazz! Ugh i'm so horrible. All i've done on my P-51A is paint the interior green and the wheel wells aluminum, to simulate the aluminum laquer used to protect the insides from corrosion.
Pinkranger- Not to be a totalCensored [censored]hole, i found a reason you can't do the dio... It's an aircraft GB. Ugh sorry. such a butt. But i'd love to see the scratchbuilt wright flyer. Hey either you or your husband should email me about your race car, i'd really love to see it. I hope he's recovering nicely from his crash!
