Macross GB

got sniped on ebay so still no kit, does anyone know is squadron sells the Hasegawa kits? I couldnt find them on the website.

Can anyone help?  I am building a 1/170 Super Valkyrie VF-1S. I should have the preshading done tonight.  My question is what is the overall color of the a/c?  Is it white or grey?

Since it's a pretty small subject, relatively speaking, it's a long build. It will end sometime in 2006. Probably later in the year. We will think about closing the build later next year.

Man, I went crazy this weekend a spent some cash on this Hobby.(air brush, paint, putty, gap filler, thinner, cleaner, Dukes of Hazzard kit)  Luckily I am single with an understanding girlfriend, so I did not have to answer to anyone or justify my purchases.  Hehehehe.

I did work on my super valkyrie this weekend. I laid down the primer and began assembly.  The question I have is this:  I want to fill in the seams on the arms and legs.  Should I use putty or gap filler?

I purchased both over the weekend.  Just not sure which one will work the best. 

As always your advice and comments are greatly appreciated.

I belive it is gap filling CA.  The attendant at the hobby shop called it gap filler.

Yup, that's the stuff. Generically called CA, short for Cyanoacrylate. aka super glue.
Stuff dries hard as a rock, so I wouldn't use it if you need to sand. (I never tried sanding after using accelerator, as Aurora-7 suggests...)

I think I am gonna build a VF-1S Fighter and the corresponding Battroid since I had both kits in my stash.  My question is this though, one of my modeling weak points is painting white, anything white including airbrushing, brush painting, any white kills me.  Since the traditional VF-1S is white what brand paint would cover well and not cause me to have to do twelve coats?  I generally use Tamiya Acrylics as well as Gunze acrylics.  Any ideas?

I plan on getting started tomorrow, and doing these in conjunction with my other two builds an F-15C and a P-51D that I am building to represent the pair I saw fly together this summer at the St. Louis Fair and Air Show.
