Dcapone,

The post shading looks good! Be careful with those exhaust stains-you don't want to over do it.Wink [;)]

'Nam-great to hear you're building in style! Lets have a pic of your workspace!

Yeah Frank and CAG.....got everything moved down there and mostly permanently put away, but I've been following some threads by others about paint bottle storage so I'm going to build a better system for that, and so have to move one shelf that I hung too low.

You should've seen me.....placed my Sea Glad kit on the bench and was......well, stumped! Had everything right there......kit, paint, tools, all the room in the world to work and didn't know where to begin! Far cry from my 18x24 drawing board!

Only need to pick up a cheap office-type chair.....all I have is a rather high wooden bar-type stool.

I had a bad session at the bench last night after almost two week of no modeling.  I was pretty exhausted but thought I would give it a go anyway.

Well not only did I manage to spill primer all over me the airbrush and the bench but I also managed to loose the chucking nut (it holds the needle in place) for my Iwata to the carpet monster during the big cleanupBanged Head [banghead]

It took me forty minutes of searching on my hands and knees before I finally found the little bugger lodged in a crevice near some cupboards.

Mental note to self "don't model when you're buggered".

Strange you should mention that Roy, because after I got everything cleaned up that's exactly what I did.

Cheers

Great advice, and I really try to stick with that.  The last time I modelled when I was dog-tired I managed to break shatter a Swann-Morton scalpel blade which took a large chunk outta the fuslage I was working on and the piece that flew up put a large chip in the lens plate of my optivisor.  Lucky for me, I was wearing it (OK, I am ALWAYS wearing it!) so me eyes were protected.

Sorry to go off on a tangent, bummer about your bench time Darren.  Hope you are able to salvage any damage and kill TONS of zombies! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Gentlemen, I am finally home after a grueling week.  Work, snow removal, and sub-zero temps have taken it's toll.  I'm gonna kick back, relax, and take it easy tonight.  I have the next four days off so hopefully LOTS OF BENCH WORK!!!  And, tomorrow we have a high temp forecast of above zero!  I am so excited!  Hopefully, it's the end of these 35 degree below zero wind chills.  BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Gents, a toast.  To everyone, wherever you are take a moment to think about the ones who can't be here with us today.  And to Roger, hopefully all is well for him.  Cheers mate!

KIck back Frank.....I've gotten used to your schedule by watching the posts. Relax!

Best of luck to you Roy!  We'll be thinking of you and hoping everything turns out for the better.

Darren, I've been staying away from the bench lately for exactly those reasons.  It's been a very difficult week around here and I know some disaster at the bench is just waiting to happen.  Best to stay away until things calm down a bit.

Frank, those four days off in a row sound nice but it also sounds like they come at a price.  Enjoy the time off while you can.  Thumbs Up [tup]

Good idea- BACK AWAY FROM THE BENCH!!!

Wait until things settle down a bit.  Why have things been so difficult, if you don't mind my asking?

Wohooo!!!  Thank Mate!  (but don't tell the others, they'll want some too.)

Funny thing, I've been reading a book about the MTB's and MGB's (Boat stuff... ya, I know - targetsMischief [:-,]) run by Canadians during WWII and ran accross a note on how one guy who had his rum locker shot up in a fight kept the broken bottles with the seal still intact and didn't have the bullet holes in the locker fixed.  Every time he got into a little action and the boat got shot up a bit he'd claim his rum locker got hit again. Mischief [:-,]Whistling [:-^]  Clever little devil eh?!

Well..........after I get raving drunk and have a long sleep......I still have the MK.I Hurricane on the go- I am currently on a mission to fill and sand thye bloody thing into submission!

.........and I have my latest FAA project to get stuck into! The 1/32 Revell Seafire. Its re-issue of an old kit and its shows! This will require time and TLC to get a half decent result. I will be adding some Eduard P/E into the mix as well-wish me luck!

Darren- Your Hurri and Spit should keep you busy and off the streets for quite a bit.  But, just think of how great they are gonna look!

I finished building my Corsair today, but am gonna wait to start painting it until the FAWGB starts up.  Not much to see right now, so I'll spare you the pics! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]
