Thank you Richie! great catch on the ignition harness. The engine I built a few months back was built for this bird, but at the last minute I decided to put the one I had originally built for this aircraft. Last year, when I first tried this model, I decided to change the paint scheme halfway through the build. The paint job went awry, and I ended up scrapping the model and salvaging as many parts as I could. I originally planned to use this engine on this build (even w/o the ignition wires!) and thought "If I change engines halfway through the build, will it go awry again?" So, to avoid any potential disasters, I opted for the original one.
You are too kind my friend! I sincerely hope that the O.T.T. comes with an extra rum ration, I could use it today!
Thanks again Nam! Glad you like those tanks, they are my favorite part of the build. In fact, I had them in mind when I started and I am glad to have realized the vision in the end!
Excellent work Greg! The Hellcat is one I really want to add to my collection. I built one a few years back, but the paintjob went awry on that one too (I'm beginning to see a pattern here! ) and it was quickly dispatched to the garbage can. I really wish I had salvaged the resin cockpit I had in it. But, she's gone now. Another day soon I will try again! Keep up the great work, I know she's going to be a stunner!
