Hmmm... still don't have a kit for the FAW but there is a hobby show coming to town April 5th.  Not sure what to expect being a small city and all but I'm hoping to pick up a Corsair.  Otherwise it will have to wait until summer as I've vowed not to order on-line for awhile (something to do with that credit card balance Whistling [:-^]).

I'm so excited.......and I just can't hide it!

.....especially since I have barely a week to build this SeaGlad which only has rudimentary paint on it. No excuses.....just bad time budgetting. .....and it's cold in that basement!

Nam,

As a bare bones JG, you certianly appear qualified to man the pilot house tonight!  Glad to see someone's got their eyes on the wheel.  Just think, only 9 more days before the FAW kicks off! Big Smile [:D]

Avast!!!..........Wake up you swabbies!!!

We was nearly sideswiped by a Pkw from another GB! Idiots can't navigate!

.....and as I walk the bridge of a listless ship....nary a hand in sight......I wonder who....but who?

Would put a bare bones JG in the pilot house this night.Pirate [oX)]

Tis the spirit of the build, mates. Aye! Drunk now......but after a power nap.....nice tidings to show!

Frank, Your still shoveling snow out East???  That stinks!

Good news is I have 4 days off.  Bad news is I have a house full of guests for those 4 days Sad [:(]

HiYa Frank! and Everyone!Make a Toast [#toast]

Yeah Frankie, I watched the TWC radar site this morning after you alerted me.....I saw the junk getting ready to dump on you.

Yey! Five days! Cool! As for me, good news is I have the next 3 days off! Bad news is because my company has gone to a 4 day work week! Things in the housebuilding (HVAC in my case) trades are slow! With my military pension, I'll be fine though.

Too bad CAG is busy defending freedom for a few days......but the crafty characters here have saved the rum!Pirate [oX)]

Thanks Roy, hope you and your family have a great Easter too as well as everyone else.  I've got a house full of visiting relatives so mine should be a blast (heavy emphasis on the "should"). Wink [;)]

Frank, I've used polyscale acryics and they are awesome.  Only problem is no one around here stocks them so I have to mail order or wait till I visit my bro in Vancouver to stock up.

Darren, so sorry to hear you'll be on duty all weekend.  Hope it goes quickly for you!

Cheers gentlemen, it's the weekend and as the CAG is busy on duty I'll dig out my secret copy of the key for the locker!  Mischief [:-,]

Thanks Roy,

I too would like to wish all of you and your loved ones a very Happy Easter. I will be on duty over the weekend so I will catch up with my family on Tuesday.

As well as Easter, my thoughts will also be with those in service our their countries who cannot be with their loved ones at this time of year.

Wherever you may be, enjoy the weekend and take care.

I use Polly Scale flat for all of my flat finish work, but haven't tried any of their regular paints.  I'm pretty much an enamel/lacquer kinda guy.

Dave- LOL, too funny! Laugh [(-D]

Roy- Thanks my friend, can't wait to see it!  I'll let you know as soon as it arrives. Thumbs Up [tup]

And yes, it seems that I need to find a new line of paint!  I love the Gunze, but HLJ BARELY stocks it.  Pretty much just misc. supplies and boxed sets, most of which are on backorder.  I picked up a bottle of Polly Scale the other day (JUST THE PAINT- NO KITS!!!) to play with.  Anybody else use it?

This should be of interest to those that use Gunzo paints:

Thanks for the help fellas!  I think I'm gonna get some decals and such, but decide a fair limit to spend and NOT go above it.  Sounds like a great compromise to me! Big Smile [:D]
