Nice to know you are nearly there with the Barracuda and Firefly. All the best to you and your missus, we'll be thinking of you.

How is it possible to have too many kits in your stash? I have only a measly 150+ kits waiting for me to build them, mostly in 1/48. This inlcudes little aircraft like the 1/48 C-130H and a 1/48 Caribou to name the slightly larger ones!

Update on the Barracuda and Firefly Mk 1. The Barracuda is just about to the stage of having it's wheel on then little bits and pieces added including the antenna wire. The Firefly has now got it's wheel on but the seat in the rear cockpit fell off and I had to carve my way into there to reset the seat. Luckily I have been able to do the hacking along the panel lines and now the rear cocpit will be open as if the observer is about to hop in. The good thing is that this lets a bit better view of the rear be seen.

My wife is not long from giving birth so hopefully I may get some time in the next week or so to finish them both off.

The pit looks great rick, great use of colors as mentioned.

As for the pit on my Vista 1/72 Fulmar Mk I...  well, it's pretty bare.  Anyone have any reference material on this so that I can dress it up a little?  I've seen some kit build ups on-line and each is a little different in terms of interior detail so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Darren.  The kit painting guide calls out Dark Gull Grey, which would be correct for US Navy, but the standard for FAA Aircraft at that time was Interior Black.  However, I found some pics of the Wyvern pit that showed a Grey darker than Gull but definitely not Black.  After chewing on it for a bit, I used ModelMaster Engine Grey & then lightly dry brushed with Vallejo Dark Grey.  The seat, however, was done in Black.  Not sure it's totally accurate, but it matches the pic pretty well.

I like the idea of a BoB GB..........I'd have to see how I'm fixed nearer the time before I could commit to it though.

Mig alley is a good idea too-I wish I had more time on my hands. I would love a crack at that, if time allowed. 

Hopefully this year is the year.......

...I'm hoping that after all this time that this year i'll finally get to sit at the grown up table for once!!!!
