Or some of my Friends seem to think So.

Aaron - Thinking maybe he threw out his Propeller by mistake started backtracking . His first step was a thorough search of the Trash Truck this morning.

Photobucket

His Next step was to set up an Observation point, with some cookies he swiped from Dee..

Photobucket

Good thing he has a snack as it might take him awhile to spot that Black Propeller..

Photobucket

Looks like he has his work ahead of him, Should I send him the spare 2 bade Propeller that came with the Roden kit ?

Har Har youz guys!  Rub it in!  As it is I got sidetracked watching this Computer animated movie about Faith Hope and Charity. It is very well done and my 13 year old sat and watched it all with me.

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=2601

This is the site for download. It is free and I just downloaded the movie under the artwork.  No spam, adware or such just a movie so it is cool.  Runs about an hour on my windows media player and really gives a good feel of the events.  Good thing to watch and listen to while you work at the bench.

As far as the model goes I extended the camo to the standard RN of 1940 on the Sea Gladiator.  Added the rigging thingies like Ritchie hollered about and re weathered it all again to blend it all in nicely. I stuck a 2 blade prop on it with white glue as a temporary fix just in case  Sean finds himself in a charitable mood. Laugh [(-D]Party [party]

So um Frank does this mean your not loaning me Charlene to clean up my growing tower of debries? Shock [:O]

Bo'sun Summit, excellent kit, really excellent. I applaud the selection of knickers, and yes you all need to go back and look at what he shows befits an Officer and a Gentleman. Mowing in a helmet, indeed! That kind of thing will get you in the papers, son. Best done with a big cigar, I'd say.

Well Mr. Summit is first at call, the rest of you slackers need to fall in in your dress florals by 8 bells of the Evening Watch on Friday. XO, bring the optical device for inspection please. I will bet real money that the LtCmr has at least one festive shirt, which we'd all like to see on Dee, because you Mr. Mac will be wearing the coconut bra.

Mr. Summit an extra point for the art; as Nam is not here to compete with his Pink Panther, we'll remember him in spirit, although I'm sure he's not one just yet, just missing. In fact that was comtemplated as the theme for next week (no not Nam's demise for in fact he lives on Aarons bench, although it's a miracle he hasn't been taped to the wall), but as your captain has no such and will not go there, it's an enhancement this week.

Jolly all fellows- there was a little box from Squadron on me cabin step this afternoon when I returned from doing battle, and thanks again to Chris Hall for the color spec.s, to wit Coastal command biplanes, and mines a biggun, Dark Slate Gray and Extra Dark Sea Gray on the upper wing, Slate Gray and Dark Sea Gray on the lower, on account of the "shadow effect". He also avered, Mr. Jeaton who by the way must have a well pressed Tori Richard tunic or two in his spacious Flag Quarters; that if a CC a/c did indeed start life with a gloss lower, it didn't stay that way for long. Anyways no photo evidence I've seen would suggest otherwise.

And yes luv, I did get all 28 resin guns in the mail last week; thanks to a tip from your hunny bunch.

Remeber, there's a prize.

Beggin your pardon Dee but you mean't to say bolt the resin guns!

That's the beauty of having yer own mold. 5 mins and you have another set!

and a pic of the propeller to prove I found it! Mischief [:-,]

Seam I surely thank you Sir, It looks just perfect! Should I copy it or is it truley extra?

In the mean time I did what I could except I have to paint the tip of the pitot tube. A couple more late night dark pics until the final prop arrives and  I can call her done!

8 Bells Friday guess I better find my shirt!

Guy! WB dude!  You need to PM me and bring me up to date on your situation!  In the Military we call that a sitrep!  Bad Guy making me worry so!  You and your soccor!  Now that you are of legal age you think yourself to grown up to play? WHere is your brighty colored shirt for the Captains contest?  I swear your not so big as to still get turned over my knee and get a thrashing!

Well no luck with the CD but please don't worry Big E about it. He messaged me and I told him to please not go to any throuble that you would happily fill me in all all the details. Also you never said how much you paid that actress to pretend she was your imaginary GF?

When you all get settled back into a  comfortable routine  don't worry there still will be a place for you at the Capt's table here.  Most likely under it or on the serving platter knowing him but hey it is all in good fun!  Don't be a stranger  and I like the new RA #2 GB as well! Thumbs Up [tup]

Hey while your having your tea and snoz berrys over there have a look for the CAG. Rumor has it he was kidnapped by a bunch of Sun Magazine model of the months eho have left him stranded in his skivvies somewhere during a fox hunt.

Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Though he might remember to load the weapon! I don't even want to know where that came from, and what (who) is he using to fetch and retrieve those varmints?

Permission granted Mr. NH and have a great vacation! I'll enter you as on duty on shore in the log, so long as you have a good time, and don't forget the lemonade mixer! If you happen to stop for a roll at a pool on the way out there, we'll accept pics of gaudy plastic lobster bibs, too!

Gentlemen! To your stations please. The Gladiator has been shelved awaiting the proper Hamilton 2 Blade prop thanks to Sean! Bow [bow]

So that means the bench is free to break sprue once again!

Time for another twin build but not quite.

I have officially commenced work on the Trumpeter 1/32 Swordfish Mk I. Very nice kit but the directions are a bit busy and vague in parts location. This biggest hassel thus far is the painting instructions are confusing and don't match up from the instructions to the paint ref in the same kit?

No Issue as it seems that the 1/48 Tamiya Swordfish is the exact pattern for the larger Trumpeter kit thus far.

So why not build them both side by side and compare is my motto! Thumbs Up [tup]

Finished step 1 in the Trumpter kit which is most of the  crew compartment.  This is equal to steps 1 thru 5 in the Tamiya kit. The parts are exact replicas of each other ceptin fer size o course. Thus far as is how they go together with the only exception being how the radio is mounted.

The Tamiya parts of course being smaller are a bit more figity and tougher as far as clean up goes.

The lack of a crew is bothersome in the Trumpeter kit given Tamiya's fine rendition of figures but the Trumpeter kit does come complete with PE stuff for the rigging  where it is an extra purchase with Tamiya.  Give and take.

I have it broke down into the sub assemblies I came up with to ease paiting but thought you all would like a peek!

Aaron - Wow Two Planes in different scales at once. You should add a 1/72 Swordfish to the build also... Now that would be Way Beyond Cool Approve [^]Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]Mischief [:-,]

I see "Little Nam" is over seeing the  project.  The kits do look identical except for the scale...

How about a pic of all your completed models you have built in '09 sometime..

Ack 1/72 scale is only for the divine like Ritchie, Dave and Lewbud!  Even the Cpt Bondo!  Sean!  Oh the horror of it all!

Well Here are the same parts with color added as per the Tamiya directions.  Except for a bit of red and yellow added for jazzing it up.  I dunno what you think?  Look ok?

Not to worry Ritchie as I am back to work with in the hour!  Things inevitabably slow up when I work 11-15 hour nights/into days. Sleepy [|)]

One with flash one without.

Ok I am guessing  Frank will have prop pics of his with in 24 hours! Wink [;)] Guy will probably be done! Shock [:O]Pirate [oX)]

Aaron- A 1/48 AND a 1/32 Stringbag at the same time?  WOW!!!  Very cool.  Just make sure you don't mix up any of the parts, otherwise it will look sorta like an Egg Plane. Shock [:O]  LOL...

I like your progress pics, keep it up!  As for prop pics, prolly won't see any from me for a while. Wink [;)]

Why thanks fellows!  Ritchie I may just work on another and try and make some figures for the 1/32 Swordfish until your letter arrives!  When I saw  what you sent about the ROc and Skua I had wished I had had it all along as it would have saved a lot of looking!  Besides I worked over 12 hours today and it makes me a bit woozy and nutty!

Speaking of which while I am in the mood I cannot let Sean claim the Prize unchallenged so I mowed the yard!  Remember it is close to 100 degrees F outside!!!

And the worst part is my mower is outta GAS!!!!! Make a Toast [#toast]Make a Toast [#toast]Laugh [(-D]Pirate [oX)]
