Roy- Looking good there. Thumbs Up [tup]

Richie- I am familiar with his work, can't wait to check out that video!

By the way, has anyone else noticed that we are 60 posts away from 10,000?  That has got to be some kind of record. Approve [^]

Here's where I am on the Corsair.  The landing geart is not attached I just wanted to see how it looks on it's own legs.  I also included a picture of Alex's cockpit before we close her up.  Take note of the colors of the pilots uniform, he did alot of research to get it correctWink [;)]

Also note that my desk is not cleanBig Smile [:D]  I'll correct that ASAP

I played with the Polly Scale paint and it seems that the 70% alcohol did the trick.  Now all I need to do is mask the lower color and spray the first color of the top coat.

91% achohol, the water content is higher in 70% and that is a bother.  The drug store has it both ways.

Both ways Admiral!?!?! Heck better be careful mixing yer alcohols!

Explain these numbers, please. Is that the concentration of the alchohol out of the bottle (hic!) or the ratio of alcohol to paint, or vis vers?

Admiral J I use that method for spraying those wee little squiggles on German aircraft as well, Hmmm  Roy you'll get a combination that works for you. Just keep at it as that is the adventure of the Airbrush.  If it isn't enamels have you tried thinning it with rubbing alcohol?  Tends to fade the color a touch but can be rejuvenated with a rattle can of clear flat!  Haven't tried future with alcohol thinned paints though. May have to make sure they are good and dry before futuring them over.  Dull coat or arcrylic matt finish works swell though.

Capt Bondo! I found the perfect build for you but may have to save some pennies it is a bit pricey but I wish it was cheaper cuz it is perfect for you!

Well I sprayed the underside of the Corsair today.  I used the Polly Scale Sky for this.  I thinned it with Future and tried one with Testors thinnner.  So far I'm not impressed.  My tip kept on cloging.  Someone said I should try thinning it with 70% alcohol.  Any of you guys have any input on this?  The Slate and Sea gray or both PS paints and I have none in the enamels so I'm stuck using these.

Also try and let the other FAA GB members know that we have the signup for the Christmas exhange going on.  Also those that have done it in the past PM me who you had in the past so I don't pair you with the same person.  I think I have the list from the last two years, just want to make sure.

Hi Fellas,

Sorry I've not been paying any visits recently. I see everyone seems to be having a jolly time Smile [:)]

Neu I just back tracked a little and saw your Sea Hawk, splendid job!

The house is a little upside down at the mo so no bench time for me for a good while, I'm building up my stash, think I must have at least 6 now!!!

Cheers...
