CAG- Good show old bean!  Looks like another stunner coming down the pipes! Approve [^]  I thank ye for the rum as well, and the girls. Mischief [:-,]  I took a look at the gallery, and I think you have a photo of the Roc in place of Aaron's Sea Hurricane.  There is one of the Roc, then the Skua, then the Roc again.

Richie- I love that little Stringbag, and admire it every time I see it.  Well done mate! Big Smile [:D]

Cap'n Aaron- Thanks for re-posting the night fighter pics my friend! Thumbs Up [tup]  You amaze me with your builds, incredible stuff!  So, how are those Stringbags coming along?

Where's Nam?  Figured he would be here for rum this time. Grumpy [|(]

Five drinks later...........................

Ah, ahem! Yes, gather round chaps for the latest sit rep on the Hawk........

Well, I have carried out some minor surgery and the flaps have been dropped. For the first time in months I have used my airbrush in anger........felt real good to shoot some paint! She still needs another coat, but this is a OK start.

Well I'll be congrats Frank!   Although it is no surprise as your builds are above reproach!  Knowing the magazine published your work is a credit to FSM for recognizing a talented builder as yourself. Well done XO!!!!

Been working nutty hours again and it is wrecking havoc with my build and forum time but it is always great to take a moment and see such great news and work as is on this wonderful thread.

Neu that Sea Hawk is really coming into it's own.  Your efforts are turning it into a build to be proud of! I can really see the efforts from your first pics to where it is now. I know that it is a lot of work on those limited run kits! It is looking crazy cool!

My son brought me in an old souvenir from my Army days that goes along with the James Bond Girls. I had an old PlayBoy Magazine from November 1965 given to me that we used as a prop for the We Were Soldiers movie. In truth the pics are very PG rated with the centerfold showing less than I see on current grocery store tabloids, but the cover and feature article is on James Bond Girls.  Pretty cool.

Oh yeah and I have the big un done!  Gotta get the 1/48 Tamiya one caught up before Lewbud zaps me with a stun gun!

Hey guys... thanks for the support. Aaron, getting a salute like that motivates me to build. So I got the invasion stripes on and I kinda like how it looks.

I've been poking around to see what sort of finish the aircraft has... I found this cool photo.

I've also got the famous photo of the 802 squadron fighter after being hit by Egyptian AA fire... it seems a bit on the glossy side. Any thoughts?

And really, if you got to go for Bond girls you need to go to the original source.

(though Eva Green is pretty smashing as well)

CAG a salute to yours and Neu's most excellent progress! Propeller [8-] That SeaHawk really looks like it has been beaten into submision. Those limited run kits are really tough to get a smooth looking assembly like that! Well done!

cropredy! Almost missed that posting! I only have seen that mentioned once about the BlackBurn manufacture and the Fairey stuff. Things like the Exhaust collecter and fuel tank colors were small detail diffs depending on the manufacture and the subcontracted work for each company.  I got the info from some old War cards From 1977 that give just a smidgen of info on various subjects in WWII. They have to fill the back of the card with info so It had mentioned that in the subject ofEither weapons or Homefront production stuff. When I find it again I shall scan it for you.

There is no listing where they get there refs from but if you look at the pics of Swordfish and are able to match up the serial Numbers with what company produced it they do seem to match up.

Oh there is where I left my hat!
