Ok, today lol. Here is what i've been working on lately. Started it years ago but recently took it out of its box (hangar) and progressed in the build to this point.

And this image is for the GB in general as I have never met a more crazy and great bunch of modelers past and present as I have on this particular GB. So when you see this GB pop up, I hope this image comes to mind.Toast

Captain Bondo will build a model of the HMS Illustrious, Taranto raid with complement of Swordfish.

Heller 1/400 it's about 25% complete.

Will there be rigging on those Stringbags? Big Smile

May have to ship the double flying wires...

Sounds like me and my Airfix 1/48 Buccaneer with all the fixins' Whistling

So are you in, Ritchie?

I would be honoured to serve another tour. However, I have prepared for an inevitable move and have boxed my entire stash. The problem being, I can't remember which box the Buccaneer is in. When it is located, the answer will be an undisputed YES!!!!!! I have a peanut scale Beech Staggerwing on the bench at the moment, hope to have it finished soon to have room for the Buc...when I find it.

Lt. Cropredy is doing - yes - the 1/400 Heller Illustrious w/ Swordfish at Taranto time. I swear I never knew that Bondo was doing the same project.  Rigging for the Swordfish? We'll see.

So the theme is RAF for aircraft and RN for ships.  I am thinking we should start a thread in the GB section solely for the purpose of participants in this one, with all build threads in this topic.  Can I get a list of participants and subjects to put there?

GMorrison -- happy to buddy build and/or participate in the GB.  I read your build progress with keen interest. The Heller kit is quite the challenge if one opts for anything other than out-of-the-box.  My build progress is documented in my blog.  Your note inspired me to go back to the workbench today and update the blog.

I'm (not) hard at work on Heller's HMS Illustrious in November 1940 Taranto guise. But, this GB might get me motivated to make more progress.  For the FAA portion, there are a whole bunch of L'Arsenal 1/400 resin+PE Swordfish to pull off

So Capt. Billy Bondo rides again?  Yet one more reason to sign up.  I'm in.

That sounds good to me. But I am going to leave off the Sea Venom and Sea Hornet. They were lousy kits and I set them aside in frustration.

What I can offer is to finish my HMS Illustrious 1/400 Heller model, alas the Taranto Raid.

I have eight sweet little AM Swordfish with it...

One other small favor to ask. Perhaps within the confines of this wardroom I could be commissioned as Captain Bondo?
