been progressing on my condor,got the landing gear done.

there is a was a part there that did not fit very well, I added putty over the top and you can only see it under the correct light.  AS far as the winter scheme I would strip the paint and repaint but I do not have the decals,  perhaps sometime when I am board and don't feel like spending money on a new kit I will give it a try but not now. 

Yeti, the 88 looks great.  I really love the desert scheme but the winter schemes are my favorite as well.  I noticed on the rear part of the fuesalage that it looks like sink marks?  It might just be the lighting but I am not sure.  Looks Good though.

Thanks everyone. After having this "kit" for about 24 hours, I've noticed a few things.

1. It didn't come with instructions. Fortunately I've built 2 similar kits before so I think I'll be able to manage my way through this one.

2. There is a noticable seam in the bomb bay where the landing gear meets the main fuselage. Mysterious engineering.

3. Both the intake and exhaust work flawlessly and often

I think I've already convinced that wife that commemerating his birth with an airplane build is the way to go...

Guys, I'll be a little less active for the next few days.

To borrow a phrase from Carsanab: "Look what the Fi-156 has brought me":

I think this will be my last (at least planed) 1:1 scale model. A boy. 7 lbs. 10 oz. almost 20 inches from head to tail. The wingspan has not been measured yet, but let me tell you  the bomb load capacity is HUGE!

wow no Internet, how can you stand it

I got more of my 88 done, I have about half the masking done and I only have two holes in the fuselage to fill.  For paint I was thinking of doing the the same as espins the Mediterranean scheme but I have the same problem, I don't know if my airbrush has a small enough spray.  Oh well I will try it out when I start with the blue.  My fall back scheme will be the desert.

 Sorry been out of touch....just moved into a new house and my life is upside down right now...between that and work I haveno time. To make things worse I have no internet at home...No DSL service available all full for my area. I can only connect at work and like I said been crazy...

Things are now getting back to normal I hope I can restart my 177 in the next couple of days.

Nice work so far Yeti and congrats on the liscence. I fly RC with a chap who has crashed 2 helicopters...Yes 2. Real ones, a Hughes 500 and a jet ranger. lol. He reckons its safer than a plane. Err yeah right.

Nice looking Cockpit Yeti  As for taking a chunk out of your finger, I have cut my thumbs so  many times they feel like sand paper.  You should get your student pilots  license now, I start college on Aug. 15 and that is what I will be doing.

Nice job so far on the Ju-88, looks like it has been a busy and eventful day!

Well after I got my Driving permit I started on the Ju 88.  I got the cockpit and a the fuselage halves glued, the fit of the fuselage was to say the least not to good.  In the process of constructing the fuselage I managed to take a good chunk out of my finger but stuff happens.

I looked up what the VSR90 is, and it works just like my Badger 150's and 200's except that it is gravity feed, mine are suction feed.  A gravity feed type requires the least pressure of all airbrushes, and can work with very thin paints and fine lines.  It is a very nice airbrush.  You probably do need to get a regulator for it, though, before you can control the airflow well enough.  I set the airflow with the regulator, depress the button all the way, listen to the air, and then pull back on the lever untill I have the right amount of paint flow.  I'm not coordinated enough to manage both down pressure and back pressure at the same time.  Too much like rubbing my tummy and patting my head at the same time.  Never could do that either.

Here's a link to the kind of regulator that works, this is a Paasche brand but the brand isn't important so long as the in and out fittings are adaptable.
