So finally I have pictures to show!  They may be a bit fuzzy I couldn't get the macro to qork properly.  It is almost ready for painting! Enjoy.

A-ha! This one is one I can still do!  I haven't been around lately (like four months or so).  But I have started my Me262 B1-U1.  Maybe I'll take a pic or two and post it.  I plan on doing an in-flight display for it.

It pays to read instructions!  I put the Engine pods together wrong, I glued the inside halves together and the otuside halves together , needless to say there is a lot of putty etc on my little beast.  I also didn't want to deal with a tail sitter so I opted for inflight! (I am soo lazy...)

Good luck with the camera purchase! Looking forward to seeing some pics soon then!

Finally completed my contribution to this GB.  This is a Bf-109D of the 11.(Nacht)/JG2 based at Oslo, Norway in 1940.  This was a very early night fighter unit tasked with intercepting British night raiders.  Unfortunately, my reference has no indication whether they had any success.  Kit is an Academy boxing of the Hobbycraft 109D and was built out of the box with the exception of the exhaust glare shields that were unique to the nightfighter 109D squadrons.  I scratch built them out of plastic card stock.  Sorry for not posting in-progress build pics.  I took some, but none turned out.  Still learning photography as well as modeling techniques.

Great job so far!  Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. 

Been working a little more on the main gear.

And with the wheel.

I'm thinking using the PE too, gluing it outside the scissor links, and maybe thin them down some more. Also I'm thinking of removing what's left of that rim between the gear leg and the wheel shaft.

I've been doing some more work with the covers too, but no pics yet.

How do I know "exactly" where the cover to the radio compartment should be? The instructions isn't that precise :)

Well, I got some more done since yesterday :)

I got the wheel wells cut out. Used the tip of a PE saw and drew it back and fort along the edge inside the bay until it came loose. Turned out nice I think!

I also cut out the holes for the emty shell outlets (I think it is)

And here's a pic on some of the PE parts I've been working with. Folding seat and interior parts, as well as fitting the insides of the covers. Nothing glued yet, and some parts will be soldered first.

Now, I'll continue working! :)

Ok, now I got the pics I need (I think :) )
I think I can use a drill and perhaps a nipper or something to cut away the marked area.

The new wheels are nice compared to the kit wheels :)

But they also create some problems. First I need to cut away the marked area to replace it with PE, and I guess I'll have to modify the part with the wheel shaft somehow, to make it fit to the new wheel. I'm aware of that the wheels ain't made for this kit, but I like them and want to use them.

The next problem is this lid on the fuselage. Is this modification applyable on the B version too?

And if so, how do I know how thick those plastic pieces are supposed to be, or do I just make a guess?

On these instructions for the interior there are two pieces of plastic (the arrow points to one) that I don't know the measures of either.

I guess that was all for now :) Hope that those questions aren't too stupid, but I never done this kind of modifications before and feel a bit insecure about how to do thing properly.

well I have not tried the hot water yet, I have been very busy.  School ans sports take up a lot of time.  I might get to it this weekend but I am watching the state cross country meet tomarrow, and I have a race on sunday. Oh well maby next weekend, we have a long weekend.

thanks for the heads up on the Ta 183, I found it from tower hobbies, its a bit expensive though.

Alrighty, its official...I'm doing a what-if Ta 183 Nachtjager, from the AMTech kit. 

According to the Tamiya website, its going to be re-released again soon.  So, if you want one, get your grubby little paws on it while you can!  

I'll start work on it probably around the new year, as I have some things to take care of, but never fear, it will be here. 

How'd the hot water work?  Are you back in business?
