Howdy! After lots of wishy-washiness, and quite a bit of dithering, I've decided on a kit.  If it's alright with y'all, I'd like to do an AMTech Ta 183 as a Nachtjager version.  If this isn't okay, since it wasn't operational, let me know.  Thanks, and keep building!

The cockpit looks great Yeti!  Too bad about the warped fuselage though.....

Yeti,

Wow, that's some significant warpage.  Might want to try running some hot water over it while carefully bending it back into correct shape.  I've heard others have had success with that method.

The cockpit looks nice! It's a pity that the fuselage is warped. I've encountered that too, but mainly on old Airfix kits.

Well I tried to start my Bf 110 a few days ago but found that the fusalage was very badly warped so I reboxed it up for future building when I know what I am doing.

Thanks, I thought so too Smile [:)] No, not yet! I'll try to finish a F-16 until the 15th if possible, then I think I'm ready to go. Don't ever take on too many GBs Smile [:)]

Espins, hope its nothing too serious and turns for the better soon.

I haven't forgotten this groupbuild either, and have even started sticking plastic pieces together on my 109D.  I'll try and post some pics this weekend.

Sigh [sigh] been dealing with some serious family health problems so my modeling time is limited.  I'm trying to wrap up a couple other projects and hope to get to work on this build later this year.

It's been a bit slow lately. I decided to try and undo some other GBs first, but hopefully I can get on with it in a few weeks. Waiting for a few parts too.

Great job, I love the camo,  two things I noteced, there is a small seam on the bottom and one of your antenna seams to be bent just a bit.

School has been taking up a lot of my time, between Cross Country and AP Euro I have no life so it will take me a while to get to my 110

Hi All, ive finally finished. Seemed to take an age for some reason. This was an old Dragon Kit. Its the 2nd 262 ive done. The 1st was the one i posted a pic or 2 of earlier. That was the excellent Tamiya with a CMK resin 2 seat conversion. This Dragon kit is...mm How can i say it. A challenge. The fit was reasonable and the etch was about the thickness of an RSJ. Get it wrong once and try to rebend it and it will snap. (Personal experience) The decals were great if a little tired. Didnt like being moved once in place. Any ways here she is. RED 10.

Im afraid i dropped the plane and bent the Starbord UC leg. I didnt want to try restraighteneing it before i started taking photos incase a nightmare happened.

Hope you liked it.

Hi Jeff, it is the Dragon Kit. It seems to go together quite well. Theres even an RSJ thick PE fret with it. Plenty of flash but nothing too tricky.

LOL.. its like the mountain climber being asked why he climbs them...Its cos its there and ill know ive done it.

Theres a lot of Nachtjager GB badges floating about. Are they available at the start or when we finish the build?

...Guy

I know  what you mean, and I've done it too to some extent. It's the feeling that you know you done it even if it doesn't show later. I guess my 262 will end up with more details than shows too.

I'm not sure about the badges, perhaps yeti can answer that question. I made the text to it, but I think I'll redo it, cause it looks small and hardly readable when resized to fit in the signature.

Yeti, Great job on the He-219.  Probably my favorite nightfighter.  Definitely got to pick one of those up.

Guy, Very nice start on the Me-262.  Love the detailing.  Is that the Dragon kit?

Hope to finish a P-47 thats taken much longer than anticipated this weekend to make room for the Bf-109D.  Got the decals in from Squadron for the particular aircraft I'm going to build.  Hope to have pics soon.

Hi all, sorry bin a bit slow starting but here goes the progress so far. Just buttoning up the pit with a bit of added detail with some wiring made from thin solder. I also wired the back of the dashboard but i reckon when the screen is in place you wont see a thing. lol. Aah well Ce la Vie.

A very beautiful build Yeti! Nicely painted and good pics. I still have a lot of work to do before I'm done with my 262.
