well here are the compleated pics, I chose a plane from 1./NGJ1 in may 1945, Germany.  It is an He 219A-7/R4,  It was built out of the box I only except for the DF antena witch I built out of PE fret, and the gun barrels for the "Schrage Musik" 30mm cannons witch were drilled out

Thanks for the info Yeti.

Bummer, you had some bad seam issues with your Pro-Modeler Ju88.... you did the C-6 right?  I have both their A-4 and C-6 in the stash.  I'm starting on the A-4 this weekend and hope the fit isn't too bad, although with all the seam work I had to do on my Classic Airframes Bf109D and Monogram P-38J I should be able to tackle them with no problems.  Smile [:)]

the fit problems are on the rear of the engine nacelles,  the part behind the wing, I had a picture but I lost it at some point when I unloaded the pics of my camera,  as seams go it is not bad at all not nearly as bad as what I ran into on my pro modeler Ju88,  It just takes a bit of putty.

Hey Yeti, nice progress.  I hope to be starting my He 219 in a month or two.  The fit problems you had with the engine nacelles, was the problem with the seams between the engine nacelle halves or where the engine nacelles join with the wings?

I have painted the 219 I will try to take some pics later today and post them but here are some in progress shots that I just never got up.  I replaced the kit DF loop with a peice of PE fret.

the fit I found to be rather poor for tamiya in a few places namly the engines

I will begin work on the 110 in a bit I have a 109 I am working on now and then I might start it but in less then I week school will be getting in the way

Thanks!

I resized it and put it in my signature.

I thought I'd be able to borrow a camera this weekend, but by then looks of it, we're buying a new tomorrow anyway. So hopefully I can take some progress pics.

well I finished construction and started painting, I got all of the blue and was just about to paint the gru-violet mottleing when my cheap double action airbrush broke, so today I picked up a badger 150.

traveller,

To add a badge, you right-click on the one you want, choose properties, copy the URL and then go to "Update Profile" and paste the URL between img /img in your signature. Wasn't sure how to write things without the board reacting, but you have to add [] bracket around the img and /img command.

I hope I explained it good enough Smile [:)]

Hi to all, I have a He-219, Tamiya of course, to do by next Feburary. As well I am doing an aircraft carrier, Ju-288(almost finished), a really dodgy Acadamey 1/72 F-104, 1/48 Mig-29, and perhaps Mig-25. Looks like the 219 for the group build is on!!

PS, could someone help me in how to put a badge or logo on my replies, I am not that good with these things!!

Nice, it's always good to have a working computer. Good luck with the badge!

Hopefully I can get started this weekend. I only need to borrow a decent camera.

Yeti,

Found my subject.  Put me down for a Bf-109D-1 from 11.(Nacht)/JG2.  This was a very early German night fighter unit that flew out of Denmark and Norway in early 1940.  Found a neat profile of a D-1 in NachtJaeger Vol 1 of the Luftwaffe Colours series that I really liked.  I'm going to use the 1/48th Academy kit with all its noted flaws simply because I already have it in the stash.  Is there a build start date, or has it already started?

I was going to take a break from the Group build scene, but I can't resist this one.  Was just thinking a month ago that this subject would make a great group build.  Not sure what subject I'm going to do, but count me in.  I'll let you know in the next week or so.

Also - Azgaron, check your email for the E.E. Lightning instructions.

Ok, sorry to hear, I hope you can get it fixed soon.

It's always nice to get nice kits in the mail. I got a F-16 a while ago which also have to wait until I got some of the GB builds done.
