Thank you GA. It's the old Tamiya kit origianlly released in the early 80s, based off their old     M113A1 kit. A quick easy build so far. I am gonna replace the kit's Browning .30 cal. with an Academy one.

Is that the color they were painted in Vietnam? I had asked that question here many months back and was told they were painted in a 34087 shade during Vietnam service. I have access to all those paint lines, so a new shade is not a problem

Carlos Australian Army vehicles were painted in OD (Aus) from 1967 onwards so yes the Gunze H303 color is most definitely what was used in Vietnam for all Aussie tanks, APCs and soft skins.

34087 was the deep bronze green used on Australian vehicles from the 1950s through to May 67.

Cheers

Hmmmm, now I gotta track down service dates. Laugh [(-D] There is a photobucket account I found by yahoo image search that has a LOT of great photos of FSVs in Vietnam. Thanks for the info!

I am sorry for not paying more attention on this.I have started my U.S.S. San Francisco and has taken a lot of my time......with scratch bluiding and other stuff involed. As far as a group badge,I really have no ideal how to make one.I also try the person who said they would at the top of the group build forum but never heard back from him.If you know how to make one be my guest and have at it.As far as the builds go I have to say we have a lot of good ones going on,Digger.
