Super job, Eric. Really nice on the site, too. Your figures are superb! I wish I was near to your skill on those guys. They can add so much to a model, when they are done right, and can scream "This is a toy" so loudly when they aren't.

I've only got one suggestion, is there anyway you can set up a printable version of your painting tutorial? I'd really like to have a copy of the text, but when I tried a print preview, the text ran off the right side of the page. Changing to landscape mode helped, but some of it still ran off. Your turorial was really well done.

How much does it cost to set up a site like you did and who do you go to to host it?

Thanks, Eric, for all the work you did to share with us. I really appriciate it.

This one looks like the longest to me, but the Shermie build is catching up quickly!

Glad your back with us, Frosty. Sorry to hear of all your challanges. It sure helps when you've got a strong family unit to pull together.

Bill, I will do my best to get a printable version up.Wink [;)]

As far as the web site… well, it is free for me.Big Smile [:D] My dad has a cable internet provider and the web space is free with the subscription. The high speed modem is well worth the $34 a month, but the free web space puts it OVER THE TOP.Big Smile [:D] Comcast provides the service. I highly recomend them!!! I also have free space that my school provides for its students. My guess is: if you look around hard enough, you can find a really cheap provider, or maybe even a free one. One last cost is the editor. I use Microsoft Front Page. It came with an office sweet that I bought about 3 years ago. I hear that there are better editors, but Front Page works great for my applications and was really easy to pick up.

Hmmmmm, figures… give me at least another month, may have to be two, because finals are coming up in 4 or 5 weeks.Evil [}:)]

Thanks for the comments Bill and good luck.

Frosty,

Great work Eric, the Panther and the rest. I run dial up, but just had to see the big picture anyway.....took a while but worth it. Yes it is true, toward the end of the war, Panthers changed hands (units) more often than the crews got hot breakfasts, so unit and vehicle numbering was left off as a waste of time.

I was going to leave off the vehicle number on my Ausf D, but could not find any reference that the early vehicles were not numbered as soon as they were delivered to the combat unit. Getting the decals to site down over the pistol ports was a difficult job even using Mr Mark Softener, but I got there in the end - easiest way was to use a '1' as the middle number.

Frosty, how could we forget the Ersatz!

Bill, you are a very bad man, and it wasn't 1 April yet.

looks like a lot of people are getting real close to finishing if not already, everything i have seen so far looks real good. it will be fun to see them all together and compare.

i have been drybrushing a bit on my panther the last few days, clear coat and decals planned for this weekend. a few more weeks and i should be done as well.

Figured it had been a while sonce I popped my head in here for a look around. Seems like a long time since I was on the Panther. Still lots of great work going on though/

Edog- looks great, a little battle damage never hurt anything. Well as long as it is made out plastic anyway.

PL- Nice site. Glad to see more sites popping up around the forum with allt he great work.

Dwight- Cool badge, I shall post it with pride!

Thanks for the compliments guys. Dwight, I appreciate the compliment, especially when considering the company in the group, but i really think that one should only compare ones models against their own. After all, I can get really discouraged when comparing my builds against some of the builds on WW2 Modelmakers, or Missing-Lynks. I figure, the only build you should try to do better than, is your last oneWink [;)]. Thanks for the compliment though.Big Smile [:D]

Lehr, great site, keep up the good work!

Derek, you da man. Thanks for all your hard work in making this the Number 1 group build and highest posting thread in the forums. Even though I haven't quite finished, kudos to all the members who have been there and helped me out. I appreciated getting to know some of you better and really enjoyed your knockout Panthers. This scares me, but I think the Panther, through this group build in particular, has become my favorite tank. I may have to change my name............

I enjoyed it too. Even though I actually somehow met the deadline we had set and have been onto other things for a while. Learned alot more than I though I would have and even still retain some of it!

LOL, just opened up the box to my Dragon Panther G night fighter. BIG MISTAKE!!! I was looking over the plastic, and WOW!!![:0] Why didn't anyone tell me that the Dragon kit was so good!?!?!?! I am a BIG fan on Tamiya because the detail is usually great, and their kits fly together, but hands down, the Dragon kit is better, MUCH BETTER. Plus, it was only $16. I may have to get 2 more!!

Yah, I started building it...

Anyone want to join me building this specific kit? LOL!!! Big Smile [:D]Evil [}:)]

I'm trying to finish up my Panther build so I can turn to the Towed Gun build. (I am going to let the Sherman I'm working on go as the stickied thread has been destickied so I'd basically be resurrecting it from the dead to post my build.) I've put the great-looking WWII Productions treads on, have slipped on most of the tools on and am trying to finish up the painting.

So what's missing? The commander's hatch! It's gone missing. Good grief, I think I'm going to have to buy another kit just to get the hatch! Anyone out there convert a kit to a Bergespanther, and have a spare hatch? (Please? Please?)
