Bummer. Is it allied only?  I don't know about bombers.  I'm more of the hack and slash planes.  I have a JU-88 and a 17.  Either those work?

I'm not Commander here.....but I believe all medium bombers of WW2 vintage qualify.....a Ju 88 should be fine.....just review all the posts on Page One.

Mist the Ju 88 would be perfect for this GB.

Alrighty then.  The JU-88 it is.  It's a 1/72 Revell of Germany kit.  Old old kit.  ALOT of flash.  Better go stock up on sanding sticks

Mist I'll sign you up. My Airfix b-26 has lots of flash too and lots of parts clean up since it's an old kit.

Here is a great walkaround reference. This website is good for most any kind of plane, tank, ship, etc. If you look under Props at the right you should find your plane:

#12, you can put me down for sure with the Revell Classic B-25 Mitchell

Side bar:  does the B-17G qualify for "medium bomber" status?

Great,

I think the B-17 was considered more of a heavy bomber than a medium bomber.

Raptor, I think the BF-110 was considered more of a heavy fighter than a bomber, kind of like a P-38. Sorry about that.

Count me in for a Accurate Minitatures B25-B Doolittle Raider. This is my first group build. I am looking forward to it.

Good! Can't wait to see the finished product. I know that in the Phillip Gore FSM article the interior was very detailed. It looks like a good model. My Airfix B-26 on the other hand...

Thanks for the wishes #12! Felt much better this a.m.

What I meant by a 'tag'.....was maybe a name for the CO of the GB......just a thought.....Things will pick up around here as kits progress. Besides, maybe Medium Bombers take longer than fighters!Whistling [:-^]

Thanks, I'm still working on the interior of mine- getting lots of scratch building done. Man I wish they made a PE set for the Airfix Kit, guess it's too old of  kit.

Has anyone started thier models? I've been scratchbuilding a new dorsal turret and details in the interior. I'll probably have some pics of the turret tomarrow. I decided to build the "Yankee Guerilla" that came from the kit. I hope the decals work okay.

so would a bomber version of the P 38 qualify? 2 man crew, 2000 pound payload over the same basic routes of a B 17. One would be converted with the norden called the "master bomber"

if so I am in with the Dragon 1/72 P 38 bomba dear

Dostacos, The P-38 J droop snoot was a light bomber. It is very close to the specs for the group build. I'm really streching it here but I'll let you join.

I will look for a medium bummer, and do the P 38 in the P 38 build. I was looking for a medium bummer when I spotted the P 38 it is different enough that I will use it there. how about the Mosquito? if not it will be a Revell B 26 in 1/72  since I don't have ANY of these yet no need to stretch the rules

Thanks

Count me in for this build please.  I would like to do this kit I picked up for a buck the other day.  Monogram B-26 Invader.  On a side note, does anyone know if there is a 1/48 scale kit of this bird?  I would like to do a bigger one than this 1/72.

I put you down for the invader but left the scale undetermined. Welcome Aboard!

Monogram Pro-Modeler put one out 10-12 years ago but it's probably out of production now.  Maybe check the Revell of Germany releases, or EBay.  It's a great kit, one of the first I built when I got back into the hobby.

So, I aquired an Italeri A-20G Havoc in 1/48 instead.  Who's a good source for photo-etch and detail sets?  Kit seems to have good reviews with just minor issues I think I can handle.

Okay, the little Invader kit is junk so it is out.  Will be good to practice using filler though. Big Smile [:D]  So, I aquired an Italeri A-20G Havoc in 1/48 instead.  Who's a good source for photo-etch and detail sets?  Kit seems to have good reviews with just minor issues I think I can handle.

I put you down for the havoc.

On squadron.com they have some detail sets avaliable for the A-20- Scroll down to related Items:
