White_R34,

Thanks for the comment! I am working on taking care of that "clean" appearance right now, making it look a bit more used.  It has been a while since I added a new badge to my signature line, but I attempted it a few minutes ago, and hopefully it will soon go into effect.

As far as extending the end date, it is entirely your call.  My word of caution is to watch out for how many extensions you make.  I am running an aircraft carrier group build, and have extended my end date once (for two months), and may extend it once again.  As I mentioned before, I will post my completed project photos, so I would not mind seeing an extension, even though I should wrap up in the next couple of weeks.

White R_34,

It is just after 9 pm local time for me, and I am going to loosely claim completion on my kit for this build with the photos shown below.  I still have to finish the small items for the fenders, weather and dull coat (which will be finished by Monday), but the majority of the kit is done before the "official" end of the build.  I will post a photo or two of the final product, but it will be in the new year.  In the mean time, Happy New Year! Make a Toast [#toast]

White_R34,

Your two builds are absolutely fanastic! Bow [bow]  I am going to feel bad when I post the photos of my finished 251/10, as the old Tamiya kit lacks detail (a lot), but it does go together fairly well.  I airbrushed the underside and wheels Tuesday, and will work on the top colors today.  I am still optimistic about beating the original deadline.

Ok you all my 2nd build for this GB is "Done!" Now I have not gotting the base done yet and that's ok long as I got my half-track done. Here she is. I told you all way back at the start that I realy wanted to build a realy good model for my first GB., An I think I did.

Here's my start on the grown for this build.  This is just something I wanted to try for the first time. I't not done I'm still working on it.

Whistling [:-^]Here's some more of my work. The fully finished interior.

After I got the interior done I glued on the upper hull, an found that I had a gap that needed to be filled.

Ok now that the gap has bean filled I need to do some light airbrushing to the sides and rear of the upper hull. Once I get htat done all I have to do is add the decals and weather it. I do have the rock racks done as well.

"Later every one". Whistling [:-^]

Thanks you guys I'm back to work on this projet fully and it's the only thing on my desk. That should keep me on target. As for the shiny fig, I'm going to put some flat varnish on him to dull him up. The fig was painted with oil paints. An I keep tuching him a lot, I need to mount him so I will not tuch him so much. I have some new photos coming. I just hope I get the snow covered base to look right.

White.... I realy like all the stuff in your build it realy looks cool!

Your figure is REALY good but looks a bit shiny what did you paint him with?? if you used Tamiay acrilics you can get rid of the shine by mixing a bit of there Flat Base paint into your paint while it's on the palet.

White R34,

Nice progress on your 251!Thumbs Up [tup]  I can not believe that it was two months ago that I thought I was going to get moving forward again, and have managed to continue to stagnate instead.  I guess that I had better use December wisely. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  I started doing some kit reviews, and placed them at a higher priority.  As I have mentioned before, the kit that I have in progress really is a dog, but I need to polish it up, and make it presentable.  Fortunately, I am taking some time off at the end of December, so I should be able to finish just fine.  Have no fear, I have not missed a due date yet, and I have never asked for an extension.

WOW stick love that work, it looks awesome.Thumbs Up [tup]

Wll as for my project I'm at the end all I need to add is two things a poster and a new paper. An then I can finish here with wethering and put her ib the base. Now I'm adding some items to my solder so he will not look so bair standing there. Photo os my work:

Now this is not done yet as I added more stuff after I poped these shots. I'll be back with more soon.

Now for my figure:

Now in this photo you will see the rifel painted but I did not glue it yet as I need to make the strap for it.

White_R34,

It has been a little busy around home lately, and I really did stall out on this build due to frustration mostly.  I was at a show last Saturday and picked up an Eduard set for the 251C, so I will start using those items to make this "dog" of kit look halfway presentable.  It looks like rain this weekend, so I will work on getting a couple of projects moving and off of my bench so that I can refocus on the 251.

Well, it hasn't died out with me. Now that I've got my Sd.Kfz. 7 done (for the Service & Supply GB), I've got 3 builds upcoming: My T-62A for the Cold War GB, my Academy M-113 Fitter for the M-113 GB, and my AFV-Club Sd.Kfz. 11 for this one.

I think I'll build this one first. I'll do it in panzer gray, a little beat up, but not overdone if I can help it.

After that, there's still the Red Strom on the Reich GB (I think I'm building a lend-lease US M3 halftrack), and I also have a few dios in the works. So if everyone else is like me, we're all a bit busy. But I don't think the GB is dying out.

We're all just preoccupied with shaving the flash from our sprues.

Hello all I have a lot of photos to show but let me tell you one of my big goof-ups I ordered some of the rong stuff and not any of the 251 parts I need so I can start painting., but I will tomorrow come in with some of my photos for the othere post and some new ones to show you all were I'm at. An one last thing HOBBY BOSS Tracks Don't work on Tamiya half tracks as it stated on there box I will post images of the how they fit and I must say they will not fit the stock 251/1 Ausf C Hanomag. You will see once I post my images.

I must say they build up fast and easy so I'm going to make them work on my Stuka on call., the one thing that keeps them from working is the front drive wheel or gear wheel.

i have now got the kit in hand. it showed up just afew minutes ago. but before i start it i want to get the m113 mostly done and then start on the m4 mortar. that way i just have 3 to paint and weather at the same time since all of these will be od green. if i keep pluging away at the m113 i should be done by late thrusda.

panzerguy,

I am thinking that my /10 will merely be in the shadow of your fine build! Bow [bow]  I am not sure what I was thinking when it came to "making a silk purse from a sow's ear", but realizing the defects of the Tamiya kit has been keeping me locked up.  The Dragon parts that I have been adding are great, but I was going to try to not rob any more than I have to.  Since Tamiya neglected the stowage bins, I am trying to figure out how I will make the supports for the rifles.  I'll figure it out eventually, but I wish something would come to me faster.
