I'm here...somewhat.

I've only got; the block glued, puttied (is that even a word) and sanded, I'll be primering and painting it Sunday. I've also got a few of the other engine pieces primered and scribed..I'm just trying to find a full day to sit down and go to work...it's kind of hard to do this time of year when you're wife thinks "he's on vacation, HE can do all the running around."

M'eh, marriage. She just doesn't understand priorities ;)

I'm here!
Working on the steps one by one. Box Stock.
I couldn't get the Tamiya foil to stick to the parts so I went with bare metal foil, ooops I guess it isn't box stock anymore is it?

LOL!
I just love it when either one of those guys (the brothers Schumi) frowns, looks like my son did when he was three and didn't get his way. No tantrum, just bottom lip stuck out a bit, lips prused in anger arms crossed.
Late work night yesterday, so I hope to get to the bench this evening.

*lol*..Schumi better get used to frowning this coming season. ;)

I just washed my parts and made a quick trip to the local Hobby store for a few supplies I was out of...I just wish they'd hurry up and dry already!

Heavy sigh.
No model.
Yes I did get shipping confirmation from HLJ, nine days ago. . .
Maybe it is all the snow we had yesterday.
I suppose this is where I get all noble and say "fella's, you better go on without me. . ."
Nah, You'll just have to wait for me to catch up!

Hey, I just got my Williams (less than a week from order to delivery)! I wasn't going to order one just yet, but when I saw this group build, I decided to go ahead even if I can't complete it by the finish date. (I am going away for two weeks during the holidays. You know family - they want to visit and stuff, and they get all offended when you pay more attention to your model than to them.)

Anyway, I think I am going to take the plunge and try carbon fiber decals. Does anyone have a recommendation which brand is the easiest/best to use, or are they all about the same? Also, there are several varieties (carbon over bronze, etc). Which one is appropriate for the Williams?

Don

To the left of the Message box (where you type replies in) click on the "Show Forum Code" list and scroll to the bottom. Basically it's "nesting" img inside of [ ] copy the URL of the picture and then "close" the tag with the /img nested in [ ]

Also, you did receive shipping confirmation on the HLJ order right?

Today is Day 8.
Here I sit waiting for my model car with the stupid ketchup song in my head.
(Carly Simon's "Anticipation", or are you guys too young to recall that?)
In all it is not a bad thing. The wife is doing the usual pre stress for Christmas, trying to get everything done in three days she put off since the beginning of December. (NO. it's too early to put it up, Not yet. etc.)
But I hope for a package soon so I can retreat to my lair and not have to listen to the endless Christmas music from Neil Diamond. . .

DOH!
I saw the $ sign and just went with that!
And to think I ordered from them before and thought I was getting a great discount!!
Maybe just maybe I should spend this time I can't build my FW24 on how to use my computer.

Are you checking the Singapore Dollar or the US Dollar prices??

Top left corner you can choose the currency between Singapore Dollar, US Dollar and the Euro it will update all the prices on the web-page accordingly.

The "complete" FW24 detail set is listed as $300.00, yes, $300.00 US.
Kinda makes the price of $41 for the kit seem reasonable doesn't it?

Just checked the site and I see a price of $22.06, with the full kit going for $206,29

I have some MISC RC car springs and shock bodies from a Tamiya F1 Electric RC kit I may have to see if I can adapt them or if they're to large and will throw off the scale look of it!

I don't think prices will vary that much.

Tamiya Tires are ok, I wish they would improve their tire decals some though.

Ok, who will work on the exhausts to make them look more reasitic??

Now that I think on it a spell, and I can because I don't have a kit to work on yet,
There is just something about a Williams and the number 5. . .

Oh, and what do you first timers to Tamiya think of the real rubber tires?
