If you guys don't stop talking about this I'm going to go insane!!
Okay, that's not true, I already am insane.
So instead lets hear in more detail what you are doing.
Chris, Prime? Really? With what? ( I swear if he says "primer" I'm gonna. . .) I mean white primer, grey primer, brand name etc. . .
Oh and there is no doubt JPM for me!!

You can find the info in the link below:
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?ACS2011

My local LHS hopes that they will have it back in stock by the weekend, there is another store close by that I will check too if it hasn't come in.

Pricey little Kit, but I think it will be worth it.

I, much like Chris, will be prepping and getting most of the car ready for building, but I have the luxury of a tad more time. :)

Other than some honey-do-ings I'll have from the 15th on to get this bad boy built.

So, here's the next question for you all...

J.P. Montoya or R. Schumacher build? :)

Juan Pablo for me.

Sooooooooooo Ron hows the kit coming?
I started prepping my parts last night some....Most of the construction will be done in between December 19-26th. Im ambitious as hell trying to get this kit put together in a week but it might happen! Might not but Im dang sure gonna try! Right now Im prepping and priming the parts that need it....then Im gonna go ahead and shoot the body so it will be fully cured when it comes time for the assembling fray! This and my duster will be my last auto kits for quite some time......Im getting seriously burnt out on them and need to focus on my true interest more AIRCRAFT of the 1/72 WWII variety

Went to the LHS to get the ACU STION suspension set for the Kit, out of stock but should be back in by the end of this week. Keeps fingers crossed.
Picked up the Studio 27 upgrade parts though and a set of spark plug wires.

Didn't see any decal sets for it though, might need to check again.

Oh yeah,
Day 3
Day 4
and Day 5 now! Hopefully only a few more until my kit arrives!
I went on a road trip and found a hobbyshop. . .you got it no FW24's. The owner told me he ordered 10 when it came out, got 6 and those ripped through the store. He hasn't been able to get any more since!! He just rolled his eyes when I asked about FSM's SRP of $24!! So, I bought yet another P34 six wheeled Tyrell. This is the new re re re re release with First National City on the White cockpit surround.
I hate waiting, to much like the Military. . .hurry up and wait.

I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

Yup, normally they just push clear plastic through the same molds, so all the blemishes and markings are still there and some are more obvious now.

Also the clear plastic often tends to be more brittle.

Might need to take a peek inside the Box at the LHS tonight and see if it is worthwhile to get. Would still paint atleast one half of the Body or all of it.

Now the shock upgrade kit looks enticing, hope the LHS got it in stock.

I should have checked HLJ first before the above and yes its in stock now at 4300yen. At least with the clear body you won't have the body colour painting issues.

Now we have all purcashed/ordered/waiting/started our FW24 have you heard of the new release by Tamiya of the clear version. It has even more detail eg different wings (Italian GP), including a cast metal fuel tank, more p/e radiator detail etc etc.

Thinks to himself 'As I haven't received an order confirmation from HLJ yet maybe I can ask for it to be put on hold and wait for the clear release....." hmmmmm

Hmmm, I think I got one of those sitting around somewhere unopened.

Still ok to join in??

Mine would be 100% OOB though no time and money to spare on extras at the moment.

Yes I did Don, and it was on the front stoop when I got home last night....longest I've ever had to wait for a HLJ order.......ever.

Oh well, I've got it (and my Opel Astra DTM cars)...so I'll clear off the work bench and RTFM for a while.

Well it is somewhat refreshing to know....that Im not the only one who had trouble getting mine, Im sitting here at the shop now looking at it...your right RON lots a pieces...Maybe I'll remember to take it home with me today so I can start prepping it tonight.....Im not really in a huge hurry. I planned on doing a lot of the work over the Christmas Holidays while Diane is on Vacation and Heathers out of School....Especially since I dont believe were going to VA for Christmas...Seems as the family up there will be with other family scattered elsewhere....

aaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I'm hoping this thing shows up soon, I'm getting the feeling they shipped it via "toss it in the ocean and let the currents take it to North America"...
