Oh yes, now that is looking sweet, White. Are you going to detail the little bits on the vehicle? Spade etc? Ive always found the thought of that a bit daunting. But from your results so far, i dont think you do. lol

Started the UE yesterday, got the hull and storage bin done.  There's not a right angle on the bin, thought it was the builder but checked another one of these I have under construction but it's not straight either-but could still be the builder.  Checked some of Stickman's pics and his bin ain't straight either.  Although once I get some stuff in it and cover it with a tarp, who'll know.  Had to fill some ghost lines in the bin, other than that no major probs.  Gonna be panzer grey on the eastern front.  A buddy of mine has a panzer with a cool winter camo job I want to try.  Here's a pic.

 Hello All,

jthurton, Thank you for viewing and the comments. Be looking forward to progress pics on the Kfz.7.

GA.Modeler, Have never used the Archer gauges. Have done a few PE ones. Usually the modifications to the dash are done early in the building stages. Not saying it can't be done later, but it might be more difficult. Might want to check out what the airplane guys do for instrument panels. Those wingie things have lots of dials and switches.Big Smile [:D]

so thats whats the second sheet of paper is for . dummie mistake number 2. do you still rub it down on to the sheet as if you were putting it on the dashboard?

There are two ways to use dry transfers. 1 is dry: you rub the transfer directly onto the model. Might be tricky in confines spaces, like a dash. The other is wet, in which case you cut the transfer out and then transfer it onto a decal sheet, and then use that like a regular waterslide decal.

A least, those are the two ways I know. Hope that helps in some small way.

jthurston,Which Sd.Kfz 7 kit will be built? The Trumpeter kit got pretty good reviews and looks like a very detailed kit. Still gotta love the Ol' Tamiya kit. Lot's of room for scratchin' things and prices are nice. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Going with the ol' standard, the Tamiya kit. Might even do 'er OOB, since I didn't win the Eduard set on Evil Bay.

While I'm here, I gotta tell ya, this truck looks amazing. Simply top-shelf work there!!!!!!

 Guten Tag All,

White_R34, The schlepper is looking great. Like the base coat. Be waiting to see more pics as progress permits.

GA.Modeler, sorry the pic wasn't much help with 2 of 5 gauges busted out. Glad hans von hammer helped out for the reference pic. The pics looked alot better, more straight on shot. Be looking forward to W52 progress.

panzerguy, looking forward to the camo and more progress reports.

 Best Regards,

Hello one and all, hay panzer keep a sharp eye on Ike he's a coming! Well just before I started my paint job I added a small amount of red putty on the under belly then I painted the first color. I realy don't know if I want to put the decals on now or do it after the next coat go's on.
