I have just been way busy looking at all the AMPS East builds to pay attention! Well that and a storm called Ike put the kibosh on my building for the last 2 weeks. But I am raring to go! Is it Oct yet?

Still here Dupes and ready to go on the /18.  Even scored a copy of "Wireless for the Wehrmacht" to help out with the radios.  Just a waitin' for the green flag.

I am still in.  Just have to finish my b-berg kitty for the red storm GB.  My /23 looks marvalous.  No need to buy any AM for it.  What a change.Party [party]

Jmart - for some reason I was under the impression you were going to do the Tamiya /9? Don't get me wrong, I'm fired up that you're going all out on the AFV kit! Should be an awesome build...and that PE set looks sweet.

yep, I was going to do the tamiya, but saw this combo online and went for it..figured, first time doing a non-tamiya armor and first time PE, may as well go for it now in a place I can get plenty of help! :)

I wont be able to start till early next year though, still have to finish other builds and get some research/reading done on this type of machine...  look forward to it! cheers

Hey Dupes, just checking.  Going by the list, am I building a 251/1 with or without the Pak40?

Let's see...you are the "straight up" 251/1 variant. Should you choose to add a PaK 40, that's fine, but be sure you don't make any alterations to the chassis/towing pintle to turn your build into a /4 (light artillery tractor). That's Boyd's turf. Mischief [:-,]

Seeing as i am a bit against the clock, i made an early start. I was up an hour early this morning and got started before i went to work. I then had 4 hours solid tonight. Luckly i am not at home for over a week so i don't have kids or the other half to worry about and can concentrate on the important things in life. I am going to be building a bit quicker than i normally would to get as mutch if not all done by the end of the month.

O far i am quite please with what i have found. There are a few sink holes on the lower hull interior but these will be covered by the ammo bixes. I have left out all the parts that go under the floor, i think these will be the same for most Dragon 251's. There is also alot to clean up on the road wheels. I am going to use the easy tracks as this require no clean up so will be quicker. I have made a start putting a few links together and despite the small size they go together nice and if careful with the clue they are movable. As i prefer to build and paint my tracks off the vehicle this is handy.

I will be takeing pics as i go but not sure if i can load them up from here, i am going to try at the weekend. If not i will post them as a oner when i get home.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hey dupes,

By the way, I got completely HOSED!!!  I was planning to apply your brilliant scheme of using two Squadron fliers, and really loading up on stuff...  well, dontcha know that I have yet to receive my October sale flier...  what is up with THAT???!!!

Well, I was going to post a picture of the kit but for some reason my phone won't send pictures to my e-mail. Gonna have to wait. This'll be the most detailed kit i've built yet.

Looking forward to it!

The 251 sure has a fiddly suspension, especially the height regulator on the rearmost torsion bars. Needless to say, I won't get to the scratchbuilding part for a while yet.

Sooooo...who's going to be the first one to post pics of some 251 work? Laugh [(-D]

Boyd - you did get hosed. Do you usually get your catalog before the end of the month? Sadly, I missed out as well - some nasty intestinal attack hit me on the 30th (the day my catalog came...and the day I needed to place the order). I was in a drug enduced stupor when I should have been calling Squadron to place my order. HIGHLY disappointed. Here's me hoping that the November catalog has some good deals. Yuck [yuck]
