5mp!?!? And I thought my LG Dare 3.2mp was good, lol.

wing_nut, that gap you were questioning is supposed to be there. I checked it out. So i'll see if I can get it to fit a little better and then use styrene if I have to.

Glad you liked the pics Marc's, they were taken on my 5 megapixel Nokia N95. As for the wooden stock, I remember the post. I think it was Bodges Panther. The problem was that hed painted the Handgrip wood colour. They were metal or bakelite. As for the Stock, that too was either or. Heres a couple of pics for your delectatation.

Those are pretty good phone pics.  Your wood grain is most excellent dude.  One thing though... I learned in a different thread the stock on the MG is bakelite so it doesn't have the wood grain.  But it looks fantastic none the less.

LOL..  Well the camera is still up the creek and its taken me the best part of 2 hrs to set the laptop up to take the images from my phone. Aah well. Onwards and upwards.

Heres the 1st stage of the painting. I read somewhere that a good undercoat with Nato black would be a good idea and then a lightened German grey on top. So thats my plan of attack. It would probably work with those of you doing Dunkle top coats but lets see how it goes on mine. I appologise for the pics in advance.

Everything has had a good couple of coats. I masked off the inside and the tracks that id already given a once over too. The front MG and the tools were also painted.

Anyhoo, ill give the paint a good 24hrs to go off, not that it really needs it. Im using Tamiya acrylics with Tamiya Laquer thinners. A match made in heaven. Next up the lightened top coat.

Sorry for not being much of a participant lately, been dealing with a bit of personal stuff (hopefully done with shortly), and for some reason haven't been able to sign in to the FSM website for about 2 days? Not sure what was going on there. Hope to get back to my workbench ASAP!

Josh - sure looks like the whole upper assembly needs to drop down a bit lower, hopefully getting that front panel to lay flat. The part where wingy says "this supposed to touch" sure seems like a major gap. Hmmm.

The interior looks great Josh. It shouldn't be too hard to fix that problem.  Without holding the parts in my hands to see all the other aligmnets, if all you have to do it that gap here's what I would do...

Looking attthe pic that has a view down the side it does not look like that spot where I ask if it should meet is supposed.  If not that is extremely good for oyu.  If it does it will change what needs to be done substantailly.

Those pioneer tools look spot on Marc. Im likeing the idea of glueing the PE to the pick before glueing to the Vehicle. Also the different ues for the rifles is a nice touch as well.

Josh, A good Red/Brown is XF-64. Its a good base for loads of thin. Leather, wood, etc and the red/ brown callout in the diestructions.

My camera has gone on te goof again so ive not don a lot as i dont want to run away with myself before posting pics. Im going to borrow one today so should be able to show where im at with it. Its sort of ready for paint at the mo. Its just finishing up the fiddlys.

Oh well, I'll hit it next time. Only have twenty two 251's in the stash to finish building first...Whistling [:-^]

Hay Wing_Nut outstanding man!! Thumbs Up [tup] Here's some info for Dupes about that Zvezda kit. Here something I thought you should know. The dash in this ik lacks a gage set up they want you to use just there decal image on the gauge faces. In this image you see the Tamiya dash and then the Zve dash. I'm making a mold of the Tamiya dash for the Z kit.

Ok I can't seam to post any images sorry you all I'll keep trying to get my images to post later.

Any way to dupes If I was you I would go on and get that kit at the low sales price, it a good kit to have. The sale is over tomorrow!

http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=ZV3572&Submit3=Go

Ok got it to work this time but my PC keeps asking me will I [allow access] man that sucks If I knew that the new solftwear would give me shuch a hard time I don't thing I would have let the uplode go through.

An way back to the model the floor bords are close in size.

Hay you guys want to hear something "funny"? Here's my big goof for to day, I was making an advatar for a friend and forgot to change my images size back so All the new work that I uploaded is all in a small size and SoapBox [soapbox] now I have to go back and upload all my photos over again. Now dote that just bust your gut?Laugh [(-D]

Any way the chassis has com out ok I did have a gap in the rear to fill othere that that it builds up well.

Here on the front ot the chassis you will need to use tweezers to plce the to small part in between the chassis frame bars.

Now I have not gone back a look to see if any one hast posted a wiring dio for this type of engine yet so all I'll say is the engine builds up nicely.

I'll be back with more work soon.

I don't have one of my books here in front of me, but I believe that the D's were introduced after the dark yellow changeover. Don't quote me on that! I'll check to be sure.

SMJ - I do have some pics of an SZF in panzer gray, but they appear to be all Ausf.A's and B's. I don't have the Tamiya kit you're building...is it a C or D?

It's a D!...does that rule out the panzer gray?

I don't think black is necessarily wrong (you could have a seat covered in black leather) but it's much more likely that it would be brown. Thumbs Up [tup]

Getting ready to paint the seats and looked at lufty's for reference. In the instructions it says to paint the seat flat black but everything else i've seen has been painted leather. Is the flat black just period/251 specific or is this wrong?

Bish - I'm not sure about the long-term effects of leaving putty on paint, acrylics or otherwise. I'm guessing to be safe you'd want to take it off? I know that Silly Putty contains some oils that can stain acrylics...I'm not sure about your locally-available brand.

Well, unfortunatly, i ain't in the US Army. The nearest we get is a cold shower and large woman you deffinatly wouldn't want to see in a bikini Big Smile [:D]

Ah but in only a few short weeks those large women tend to look better.....

Really makes you appreciate home that much more! I am still impressed that the Challenger 2 Main Battle tank has it's own tea maker in the turrent.  That is first class stuff!
