I thought I'd answered one of these years ago but apparently it wasn't this thread.
Anyway, I couldn't think up a good name either and I'd watched a Gamera movie a few days before so.......
And I do like turtles.
And where is Manny? I think he's earned a permanent home in the 'cooler'.

BishMine is easy, last name is Bishop
All these years and I never knew that. Cool.
Mine's just my name, about as unoriginal as possible. I've said it here before, creativity is not my strong point.

We dare Not speak his name.
Wow, talk about some forum flyers I haven't see in a while..... I was wondering waht happened to a lot of folks, like doog, HvH, etc, who used to be the heavy contributors here.
And Manny. Where's Manny.
Apprentice rivet counter.
Blimey, theres some names on here i have not seen in a while. I missed this thread first time round, i think i was still in Afghan when it started, so i never posted.
Mine is easy, last name is Bishop. In the British army every one has a knickname, so of course mine was Bish. I could not come up with anything fancy when i started useing forums, so just stuck to that.
By the way Carlos, ITV is a Television channel in the UK. Hope that helps
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

We have a lot of new faces and names on here on FSM since this thread was last updated, with more showing up every month. So how about those who have not yet added their tale of their chosen call sign for FSM to do so again.
I’m pretty sure that there was another more recent thread on this topic in the past decade... but the forumsearch engine did not turn it up, only this one...

Labour In Vain is a tiny city (or group of houses around a pub) in England. On the other side of the road there is a big white horse laid out on a field with white stones. The eye used to be mad up by upside down beer bottles stuck into the soil. Why they did it, well because they could and wanted to... The Germans replaced the turret roof plate on the Tiger I with a 40mm one instead of the early 25mm plate. We spend hours modeling...Labour in vain is spelt incorrectly but I have not learnt how to change it yet, sort of comes without saying As alwaysBoarder
Oh......the fun, the fun....
Stage_Left refers to two things: my favorite album (Exit Stage Left) by one of my two all-time favorite bands: Rush. The other meaning is that I'm a part-time professional musician, so obviously I'm on stage from time to time.....although stage left isn't always 'my' spot.
By the way.....my apologies for the temporary hijack, but I must compliment Krow: that's one sweet-looking bike, sir! Apparently your building skills are just as masterful in 1:1 scale!
Kind of suits my online ultra ego persona, send enough lead down range and it will have a effect. If nothing else it keeps heads down!... No wonder many threads I had the last word on..?
The roots are deeper though, long before internet & a triumphant return to the hobby in 2005. The 90's was all about paintball tournaments. Always out gunned & the underdogs, our rag tag band of misfits always put up a good fight and suprised the sure bet teams with mad skills & brave acts of undeniable sacrafice, courage and odds defying wins. 'the Wild Cardz' Name still resonates fear & respect in these parts to those who witnessed the chaos & shootin' kung-fu that was unleashed.
One proven tactic was to call 'Fire' on a position to allow advance upon it. 'Suppression Fire' was shortened to 'Fire' for quicker tactical response.

My surname is Hinks and since High School my nickname has been 'Hinksy'! Pure and simple and very easy to remember!

Reasoned is a satire of those who claim to be intellectually superior or enlightened in matters of public policy (and there are plenty of them, as you know). The avatar is a random pic of my favorite aircraft, the 109.
Not that it matters, but I'll join the party.
My screen name is one I've used for many years at various blog sites. The skull in the avatar is real (a plastic skull would bre tacky), Its a lab specimen I acquired many years ago as a joke. He's followed me through college and was the mascot for my university fencing team. The head gear is my dress blues service cap trimed in artillery red (my last brach qualification, I started out in the infantry).
The first avatar I used here was a photo of me in my classroom wearing a Red Army surplus gas mask. May go back to that one someday. Have a good weekend, all!

stikpusher What is the ITV part?
What is the ITV part?
A 63T works (or used to work on) the ITVs. Both the ITV and the 63T have been long gone; ITVs in the 90s and the 63T somewhere in the early 2000s. 63T and 45T merged to become 63M (now called 91M) around 1999-2001 timeframe. The MOS designation change from 63-series to 91-series came just a few years ago to align with the officer MOS numerical designation. During the numerical designation change, some officer branches became the enlisted number (armor officers went from 12-series to 19-series to match the enlisted).
The decision to make the maintenance series match the officer numerical designation was probably CASCOM driven. With the new push to make all CSS officers 90A multi-functional logisticians, it seems they wanted all CSS officers and enlisted in the same numbers bunch beginning with 88 for transportation, 89E for EOD (formerly 91E), 90A logistics, 91 for maintenance and 92 for quartermaster.
Crosssed the equator a few times on the USS Oklahoma City ,CLG -5 . Served on her from 1964 -1967 . 30 months of that was on a WesPac cuise home port Yokosuka, Japan .We spent some time at Yankee station , Tonkin Gulf and some more time carrying out NGFS missions up and down the coast of Vietnam . On one of those NGFS missions we had a reporter from Life magazine take a few pictures and this one made the cover in August 1965.
