This is just fantastic! I am loving this one!

It is great to see someone breaking with tradition and convention a bit.

It's even better to see it being done for your daughter! Kudo's to you, my friend!

(my daughter should be here in less than two weeks (my first). I hope she is as cool as yours!

Now we just need to see the "Siege At Candyland" diorama that this will go in... not to mention the main gun that fires glitter!

She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

The markings are a great choice and go perfect with the selected scheme. Nice to see you sneaking in some "orthodox" elements along the way Bill. Something tells me you're going to be popular once Father's Day rolls around this year. Propeller [8-]

She is going to love it man!

I took my family to the LHS tonight to get some more supplies for my painting project this weekend and my 7 year old brought me a bird house kit she wanted me to buy and build with her! Fun times and they never happen again!

Not gonna lie, I've gotta squint when I look at that; its hurting my eyes with its garish colors!

I think that you should bring them both, the tank and your daughter to a show sometime; that would be a neat experience, getting a trophy for it!

You guys didn't miss a thing.

Modelkastens have been driving me crazy, in more ways than one, for a couple weeks, but I have them done, painted, and a bit weathered, actually just some graphite.

I should be able to get them on and have some completed shots in a day or so.

STay tuned!

Man I can't believe I'm just stumbling across this. Very freaky, but in a good wayLaugh [(-D]Approve [^].

The purple barrel and road wheels are brilliant. Now all's it needs is some hanging plants on the spare track hooks and a pink parasol over the tc hatchSmile,Wink, & Grin [swg].

Maybe Princes should get herself a profile here and get a GB going with BrowneyesWhistling [:-^].

And dont sweat the MK's just do them in short runs of five or six then link them together.

I like it, and honetly, if a tank was really painted that color, I bet itd have the highest kill rate, cause enemies would do exactly what we are, either 'what the ****** is that' or 'omg they painted a tank pink! haha'

OK,I got the MKs assembled, that nearly killed me and my enthusiasm for the project.

I mounted up the treads, and added a vehicle name via stencil.  She's drying, i think all that's left is to mount up the main gun and present her to her royal highness.

Home stretch now, I hope she likes it, I have concealed the final scheme from her, she picked the colors but I picked the scheme and markings.

Thanks for following this, guys.  I'll post up some final assembly pictures when I get the gun on.

I LLLLLOVE IT!!!!

I just sent the link to Jen--she's going to want one, for sure! Looks like I have my work for Christmas time cut out for me!

Seriously, though -I think that not only is the workmanship excellent, but the mere fact that you're doing this for your little princess speaks volumes about the kind of good Daddy you are! Big Smile [:D]...........Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Bow [bow]

WOW!  Whodathunk a pink panzer would have made an impact...well, THIS kind of impact, anyway.

Thanks Vetteman, MMC, Bill, and Karl, I really appreaciate it.  This build was a blast.  I just need to shoot some clear dullcoat on it to protect those transfers, and maybe to cover up that graphite and keep the royal room from having dark powder all over it.

Thanks, Guys, I appreciate all the comments.

Well, since she won't let me weather it, it's DONE!  And you guys get to see the roll out before she does.  Here's my funky walkaround, on to dirtier and more conventional things.

I got the main gun mounted and sealed up those goofy rub on transfers under about 4 coats of Tamita flat coat, which, in you were wondering, isn't all that flat.

I know its all pink and purple, but in some of the shots, it looks kind of menacing, donth you think?

Thanks for all the support through this one, I'll post her reaction tomorrow, I hope she likes it as much as I enjoyed working on it with her.

Bill

Edit, PS, sorry for the poor photo composition, I need to get a much bigger sheet of backdrop, I cut it for the now discarded photo booth, I will correct this, but at least I got the white settings correct.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I couldnt have said it any better than "The Doog" has said. I love the idea of this build and it came out great and the title of the build couldnt be more fitting " PRINCESS CAMO"  She is gonna love it.

Hey why not a Daddy daughter son, Granddad grandson daughter, Uncle nefew niece, Big brother  little brother sister, GB ???? That would be a long title though.

Thanks so much for the kind words, guys.  Its one thing when a freind who doesn't build tells you it looks nice, its totally different when this group of talent weighs in.  I am humbled.

Karl, Vetteman, Panzerguy, and Bill, thank you very much.
