Short upgrade on Armored Train. The turrets are only painted. The main body received a wash and I couldn't wait and started some chipping etc... :) will continue with this wagon only... Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Hi,

It's been 2 years already. For today I'm working on last part of this project the locomotive/engine. After this I will add some weathering, details and finishing touch. I want to be ready for October for loco Model show in Vancouver.

Few photos of this gigantic project in 1/35 scale

Howdy Van, now I'm chasing you around two forums, ain't that funny! I see you chose to stay with the sandbags you have? The base looks really good, not to mention the train itself. I'm sure it will be a riot on the show. Good luck and have a nice day

Small update here. This is the last part I'm working on with is the steam engine. The original resin cabin broke when I try to straight it out...that was bad. I needed shot of vodka to cure myself....the good thing is because of the broken cabin I gain good access to the inside. I make the cabin of plastic sheets and totally scratch build interior...so now it was time for another shot of vodka :)

Here how it went:

...and then I make a opening in tender wall to make and insert small doors and coal...etc...

....unfortunately there is to dark inside the cabin to see all the detail.....but small LED inside the cabin with secret switch will solve the problem....

cheers...

Nice work/save on the interior. Adding the LED to show it off will make it all worth it.

Van - lots of great work, congratulations! Plus, you don't often see something Polish on display, so additional bonus for that! And, what did the Canadians say after seeing that? Did my prediction come true? Keep 'em babies comin', have a nice day
