Painting is a weak spot for me and it looks like i'll get plenty of practice when the weather warms up from the looks of the bench Bodge.

Thanks guys

Took my razor saw and tried to make the jack block look like three pieces of wood and not one.

I think it is safe to say you may remove the "tried" from that sentence.

Tony, some people are born to dance,

Some are born to kill.

Others are born to speak to dragons.

You, my friend, are born to bend brass.

'nuff said. Bow Down

Tony,

I like that headlight you decided to go with.  That Track tool is exquisite.  Keep up the solid work.

Cheers

Nice to see Max is still getting some time on the bench even if he still loses out to Nascar. Big Smile

Great work as usual on the details Tony, that Devil character will get you every time if you let him start talking.

Ole Max made it back around in the rotation.Big Smile

These are the kit supplied armored head lights

but I like the Voyager set much better

I used the kits PE spare track links brackets.  A two part deal with a stair stepped base and a flat bar with a retaining wing nut. Two links on the forward part of both fenders.

Another Voyager item was the track maintenance tool that mounts on the left fender.

That's all I had time for today, the NASCAR race got in the way.Big Smile

Thanks

You are making nice and slow progress Tony! Like all the "bling".

I can relate to the slow part and not enough hours in the day comment.

wbill commented once that the "devil is in the details" I have made that my creed and have it printed and on placed on my bench. When things seem to moving along to quickly I read that and shut it down to avoid mistakes, let things dry or maybe comeback latter and re evaluate.

Hi Bill

The boards are on runners and are the width of a 1/35th figures foot. There is space between each board but not enough for a cat to fall through.Big Smile

If need be I can take my Exacto knife and make the cracks larger.Yes

Thanks cowboy

Nice work on the tracks and the new floor looks good as well Tony! You might want to space them a little wider since they were meant to be duckboards and removable though vs. solid flooring.

All entirely plausible Tony, the issue of spares was always a matter of whatever was being produced and shipped out at the time...so the longer Max was in the field, the more likely that it would get the older style caps as wheels needed to be replaced, maintenance was performed, etc.
