I actually completed five builds, which is great for me (did 5 in 2009, 0 in 2010 and not anywhere close to 5 in the past decade and a half before that).  Lots of shelf queen starts though!

First off - GREAT, GREAT builds by all!!  I'm humbled by the quality AND quantity of the armor and AFV's displayed!  My own tally is pretty small, but I still managed to spend WAAAY more time on them than I should have!

Dragon M4 composite, from the old Firefly kit, same timeframe as above......

Tamiya's M26, for a 1946 "What if" GB, taht I think was this year, not totally sure.

Tiran5 from the Trumpeter kit, this year?

Kit bashed M4A3 early reman, painting just finished.

Tamiya M41, AFV Club tracks, another multi-year project.

I pulled this off the shelf, re-did the turret and added Friuls this year, something I have planned for several models I've "finished" in years past.

M4A3 76 from the Dragon kit, Lend-Lease

Magach 6B Gal, mostly Acad but lots of scratch. This one is the most extensive build I've done all year.

Tamiya Tiger2 P, my first Zim effort, with Friuls.

Bashed M4A2, with an old Tamiya Grant commander, just to see what he looked like up there....

And last (really) Tamiya's 70's release Tiger 2, lots of re-do, Friuls, as a very late war example.

Ther are a lot of models here, but most of these were started in years past and came back to the bench this year. My "resolution" at the start of 2011 was to finish shelf queens, and I got about half of them done.

That's all the armor I finished this past year. I'd been slowed down by the armored train, so hopefully, I can pick up production this year.

I have been a bad boy and not posting comments. But I have to say some very nice builds from everyone here. Duke, as usual you never cease to amaze me.....it is a bit more than the track of the month club!!!. The train looks awesome and could only be done at that scale.

There it is in it's entirety. This model gave new meaning to the words "short-run kit". It took four times as long to clean the parts, fill the gaps, and sand the seams and filler than it did to actually build it. It took a week to get all the wheels aligned so they all sit on the track (just recently found I have two more wheels to fix), and it took five days to hand paint the camouflage pattern on it. Overall time working on this kit stretched a year and a half. That is the longest I've ever worked on one kit!

I have a friend of mine who is working on a seven-foot long by eighteen-inch wide display base for this train, complete with a lockable cover. Once it is done, it'll be 'landscaped' and the train will be displayed on it. So stay tuned, more pics of this train will be forthcoming.

Rbaer, Yes that Sherman was featured in the Reader Gallery this month. The M-47 was an abandoned Croat tank recovered by US peace keepers and returned to the US (Texas) for a museum. The photo in front of the ship was taken as it was being loaded aboard said ship bound for the States.

Sorry Carlos, I'm gonna miss AMPS today. It's all gonna be about the  Tiger Group Build anyway and I'm not participating in that. Besides, with everything going on at Hobby Day, I'll be needed there more. I do hope to see you at the IPMS meeting though.

Mark, I should be at IPMS this coming Friday. I got sick the day before last month so I was in no shape to go that time. Unless something unforseen happens this week,I will be there. Sorry to hear you will not make AMPS today. I guess I will see you at the next one I can hit in the Spring. I only have two still in the home, I gave away the others I had completed.  The M60 is an old Esci kit that wasn’t too difficult aside from the tracks.  The LVTA1 is the newer Dragon offering.
