Tamiya 1/35 scale Walker Bulldog.

Looks like a really nice little build you have there Steve - lovely weathering 

I don't know if this paint would have actually behaved like that but making it appear that the hot mufflers have made the green basecoat lift is a great effect - great stuff.

Perhaps you could drop a few words in explaining the paint type(s) used, name any aftermarket kit used & weathering methods used etc.?

A few little words introducing a series of photos of a new model are always welcome. I can see that you have mentioned scale and manufacturer in the subject though

Nice work on the bulldog!  Built one when I was a kid.  Very nice job with the peeling paint on the muffler guards!

As for the exhaust / flaky paint look..I saw it on a kit on the internet and thought I would give it a try myself as the area needed a little something and was quite pleased how it turned out. And as you say mate, I guess it wouldn't flake that bad if it was in active service, guess it would get re-painted before anything that bad took hold...but it looks good for me

You misunderstand my meaning dude! What I meant was I'm more of a German WWII armour modeller and at present only build the occasional Allied piece (that is changing-at present I'm building a Sherman Firefly) and merely meant I wouldn't know how these would change under those heat conditions basically as I think the paint is applied differently and I'd have to ask.

But thats something else - what you have done is excellent and very impressive. It certainly wasn't my intent to 'pick you up' on any errors matey

Hey Ben, no worries mate!

Kind of set me thinking though the actual accuracy of the detail.

I have the Dragon Firefly in the stash to build up, if yours is the same make Id be well chuffed if you could give me some pointers as to how your doing with it?
