Good to hear you have the wheel fixed up now....did not realize that about this vehicle Yes  Was going to tell you that I absolutely loved the look you had going on but now that I know it's back in the paint shop will wait for what I know will look even better.  You really are doing some excellent work on this one !!!!! "Any car , any color just $29.95 "...............Earl Scheib commercial slogan .

Rodolfo thanks Yes

Rob , i finished the repaint yesterday and did some light weathering . I like the look of the green better . What happened was when i mounted the cab on the chais the green on it didnt match the reast of the model ..but i liked its green better ..............soooo , back to masking and thousand pieces of tape .

And later that day i had a pile of used masking tape and a new look .Your probably saying "i dont see much difference" but from where i am .....................

Yes, think can see the difference now.  The rear fenders tie in better with the cab Yes  That decal looks cool !  This whole built looks spectacular, not to many more words I can say to tell you how much I like CoolBeerYes  Glad the repaint went well and hope you got all that masking tape of yourself.

I just re-read that previouse post of mine here and i dont know how anyone could make or tails out of it .

Rob , the MM Russian Armor Green is a darker green than what i wanted so i have been cutting it with flat white but i didnt mix enough to do the entire model from the beginning . I've been painting the body parts and weathering them as i go thru this build , mistake . So , in the future Hmm. You'd think i'd know better by now .................Whistling

Thanks for your kinfd words my friend .Yes

The repaint came off as if you'd planned it that way -er- I mean.. came off specularly!

Glad you were able to redo the tyre, it would have bugged you to death, I betcha.

Seriously though, The truck is a thing of beauty, dirty beauty, but beauty never the less.

Shell, modelling, in my opinion, is dedication. I see a tremendous difference in the paint job, and it is to your credit that you re-did it, and I am sure you are more satisfied.Big Smile  ( and the tire is fixed ! )

Great stuff man and I almost forgot to mention the doors being on and the markings !  I love 'em !Toast

dang... one other thing I forgot, I really like what looks like a leaky differential  on the chassis pic..Yes

Yeah great work there Carl! I was thinking she reminded me of something till I thought about back in the late '80s my grandpa borrowed an old logging truck. She was all rusty, muddy, and hadn't seen anything but basic maintenance for years. Your Zil looks just like her, same hard worked out look (well other than the NVA insignia). Beautiful work!

Sorry he passed away a few years ago, not sure what sort of truck it was now- I'd assume a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge. Just saying that you'd nailed the old beat-up muddy look of a work truck there! Yes

Great job all around, you knocked her right outta the park!  As I said, just amazing job on getting the used, beat-up, dirty, work truck look there.

Let us now conjugate the adjective (to be) “obsessive”:
