There are a few issues with this kit you may want to address. There should not be a rear mounted MG on the main turret, only a MG flap. This turret was taken from the T-28 kit, which does have the MG as shown, but it was omitted on the T-35. Also, there should not be tow horns mounted on the transmission hatches, these should be grab handles instead. The 45mm gun turrets have a vision slit on both sides, but they should have ports only on their right sides. The turrets are difficult to fit on the hull, be prepared for some surgery.

Thanks for the info Ixion, those are some good references.  Though, I'm afraid I am too far along to make the corrections.  Perhaps next time I start a project I look into it with greater detail.

Before putting on the side shields, I decided to paint it black for a pre shading as well as a base color for the rubber tires.  Then after assembly I primed the rest of the model in Krylon Black Indoor Outdoor and lightly painted two layers of Model Master European Dark Green and the same paint in a lighter shade, concentrating on central panels.  Just for fun, I added the tracks and turrets to see how she looks....also a figure for scale.

Yeah sharp work on the pre-shading. She looks so nice it's almost a shame to dirty her up now.

I realize that this thread is three years old, but I want to thank you for it anyway.  I'm working on a tiny 1:100 T-35 model with no instructions and have not been able to figure out how to mount the frame around the main turret.  When I found your photos, all my problems were solved.
