Well, I got the Flak painted the base color (grey) and the gun painted gunmetal, and I got the Kubelwagen glued up, except for the wheels. But I didn't get any touch up painting done, weathering done, or decals on. Guess I didn't make the cut. But it was a close call!! It was a fun idea, Eric! Thanks.

And congratulations to all of you speed demons! I'll post a couple of pics tonight.

I managed to put the entire m923 together. I guess it wasn't quite fair, as I did a lot of prep work last week. Either way, the kit went together nicely enough. I'll take some pics this week or weekend and post them when I get the chance. I'm a little busy at work this week, with a lot of late nights, plus I'm taking delivery of a new PC, so not much time left for modelling in the next few days

Bill,
looking forward to the pictures.
not to worry, sounds like you got a lot of work done.
and it was Mrs Bill's birthday after all!

Zokissima,
want to see yours as well.
i had some stuff done on my T-34 from a moth or so ago, so i guess i had a bit of an advantage too!

I'll manage to take some pics this weekend, so maybe sometime next week I'll have the time to post them. Depends on when I can get to a scanner :)

Chris,
gee, it looks so much smaller than the 'other' picture you posted!
Tongue [:P]

cute little thing, isn't it!?

pics are good enough if you are borrowing camera etc.
it has taken me quite a while to get my pics up to the current level of mediocre!
big breakthru was getting the software loaded on my home PC so i did not
have to bring the camera to the office to get a look at them.
(the camera, technically, belongs to my employer. i have it on loan)
the faster feedback has been a great help.
shoot a few dozen pics w/ various flash and zoom sttings, then look them over,
see what was working best and try more like that.

but the point is the daimler looks good.
AND you did a plane the same weekend ?!?!?

wildwilliam:
thanx 4 posting the pic !
it's not the clearest. is it ? Blush [:I]
that's what i get 4 being in a hurry, but at least u can see a bit of something, lol !
it's 'airfix' scale, not 1/76 or 1/72... approx. 1/74 ! ah, England !

Chris:
LOL ! it's typical airfix, looks good enough 2 represent whatever it's supposed 2 b w/o much in the way of additional detail... perfect 4 the weekend build !
& now i can keep working on it 4 the towed gun build ...

thanx 4 ur kind words!

the perfect kitbash in that box though........ I've done 4 airfix kits and the only good one is their WW1 tank mk. 1. very decent kit, unlike their sherman which had part numbers on the exterior of the vehicle, etc.

I have to say that I am impressed with what you guys turned out in one weekend. Myself, well I got a little ambitious, plus I had some things pop that took up a lot of my weekend. Anyway, after weekend #2 for me I just need to paint. Here is a link to some pictures of what I have done with my T34:

as always, I would love to hear comments/criticisms.

Thanks for joining me on this build guys. Ed and Chris, I love the pics. You guys did some impressive building for such a short time span. Good job!!Big Smile [:D]

thanks again,
edog
