On the lower hull, I only presented it to see how it looked all color blending in. Don't worry I will make sure it will close tightly.

http://i510.photobucket.com/albums/s349/darklucretia/Smiley/Smiley%20Think/hmm.gif It will probably be difficult without damaging the existing finish....... which is turning out really nice.

garzohn, you're very kind in your response; I humbly thank YOU. :)

I'm glad to hear that the front hull is not an issue---I can't wait to see your finished results!

Hello my friends! Smile

Phewee.... finally made it!

Today, I was able to bring in everything together.

It looks very nice!, I added some dust weathering, add the figure, and look I even painted some tracing bullets, I think it looks cool.

Im also experimenting with the photos, but definitely need a pro-camera and try to build the photo box...

Let me know what you think, I still think the photos do not make justice to the colors I was able to blend in...Angry

Anyway, please let me know what you think. Please keep in mind its just my second model...and the firts one with PE.

Yes

My wife decided it was time to clean the mans cave, since its strictly prohibited for anyone to come in while work is in progress. So  I will take a couple weeks off, and in fact take vacation also from work and go to the beach.. CoolParadise I bet it will inspire me for my next work...  Confused ( a beach diorama will be cool.., Normandy...who knows..)

Thank you.!! beers are on me.. Beer

http://rationalia.com/z/Door.gif Such closure (on the front that is).

http://forum.worldoftanks.com/public/style_emoticons/wot/Smile_great.gif I love it; it has all the elements a nasty russian tank should have.

http://www.smiliesuche.de/smileys/sheriff/sheriff-smilies-0002.gif  We just might have a new sheriff in town if this is http://forum.worldoftanks.com/public/style_emoticons/wot/Smile_glasses.gif truly your second model.

You've earned some bragging rights not to mention the excellent painting of that figure..

Have a good vacation.......   http://rationalia.com/z/090822.gif

Disastermaster, thank you very much for your comments. I have saw some of your work and its amazing, specially scratchbuilding is so difficult. Im light years from even trying to make custom made things.

I also like the way you comment and write your posts.

Yes, this is truly my second built, it did took me 2 to 21/2 months of work, at some points I was only able to make 2 or 3 PE parts on a 3 hour lapse...  Embarrassed

My next objective is trying to learn and build the base for display like the ones you have, it completely shows the history and weather it is dealing with.

Again, thanks for your comments.

Cool

Very nice job on this one, looks real nice.

Thanks, all your comments are greatly appreciated and motivate me to make even better models.

I still haven't experimented with oils since I have not been able to get them. I need to order them over Internet but they are pricey plus S&H I need to save, specially since for now I do not have anything on stock to worth with, so I need to decide what will be next, Im thinking on a P47D plane from Mexico, that fought in the WWII in the Phillipines.

Take a look at the documentary, interesting...

very nice work.  You should be rightly proud!  My only suggestion would be to consider the placement of that towing cable.  1) it was very heavy and unwieldy: not likely to stay unsecured half-hanging out of a compartment designed for hand tools.  2) tow cables were essential for emergency tows if the tank or a friend breaks down.  It would be mounted in its normal place so crews could get at it in the dark.  Emergency items like that tended to be stowed in their prescribed locations 3) how it's hanging, it would easily get snagged and lost.

Just a FYI

Hi

Thanks! for you valuable comments, yes I also thought it looks odd. I will not even put in on the tank, looks too unreal for me. I thought of making some tool box or things like a wrench or other items inside of it. But not for now. I just will leave it open as if it were broken from mistreatment.

I might come later to fix this, as Im seriously considering a street diorama for this one.

Have a great day!!Yes

Nice work!!! I think the weathering came out excellent! And the figure looks great!

I have to agree though the tow cable in the toolbox looks a little odd. And did you paint the headlight, looks the same colour as the hull to me.

Just nitpicking though, fantastic job- looking forward to the street diorama.

Gamera,

Thanks! and yes, the headlight is in the same color, dust.

I looked into some reference pictures and it looks as if was painted. Now, it might be because it's sitting in exhibition and they took the headlight off and put a plaque or maybe my tank is so dirty that they have never cleaned the lens... hmmmm....
