Thanks, Dave! I"m glad to hear that the leaves seem o be getting a good review. I was a little unsure if they were the way to go, but I really do like the color they add to such a drab subject! I appreciate you weighing in!!

Pawel, thanks too, friend! I genuinely appreciate it!

I think that the next thing I do is going to be more recent--maybe a mid-70s-80s era modern armor? I'm thinking of an M113 variant....maybe the M901 in a MERDC scheme?

Steve, that barbed wire is some Eduard item. I thought about making it, but I'd already had so much time in this build. I didn't want to get bored with it, so I took the easy way out, lol. It was a royal, ROYAL PAIN to paint! It took me easily and hour or more to touch up the flaking paint off the gold brass after wrapping it all around the tank. Ugh!

Well whatever you've got going there, I Hope it comes together soon! I seriously can't wait to see what a magnificent disaster you make of your version!

Thanks again for your comments, buddy!

How about an M113 with an XM-134 (?) Minigun on top? I found a nice pic of such a vehicle on the web:

Karl, a great piece you have made here.  As one of my art instructors would of said, you rendered the crap out of that thing!   Again, truly inspiring work. Yes

Schatten SPartan, that's cool, no doubt! Thanks for the inspiration----that may indeed be a future project!

However, I've settled on a project, and will be posting it soon in a new post--watch for it!

Been super busy the last few weeks Karl, a good kind of busy but it's kept me away from the bench. The current work in progress is Bronco's Marder II D. http://www.bpmodels.net/Model/Album/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=168

It's about 95% done...just need to finish up the weathering on it.

WIcked-cool, Bill! Glad to see you're still motoring on! The "D" looks good. I hope you post the finsihed buildup here when she's done!

I gotta get that kit. Tony totally killed his, and yours has reminded me that I need to get this one in the stash.

Hope your schedule evens out. Hey man, I know how you feel---and it ain't great! Wink

You'll love this kit Karl, it's a very nicely detailed and engineered little beauty. Tony's was the older Alan kit that he added a lot to in order to bring it up to standard, it's like night and day compared to Bronco's kit IMHO. Wink  If you want to add this one to your stash, don't wait too long, it's getting harder to come by these days.

Things seem to be slowing down just a bit the last few days, so I'm holding out hope that I will be able to spend some more time on it this weekend. Fingers crossed! Once it's done I'll post some pics here as well, never fear! Beer
