I think you got off lightly there. But that chipping on the front does look rather nice. Though I would not suggest this as a means of weathering.

While working on another project today, I mixed up enough Black to take care of the dings on this one. Yesterday you saw them...

Like new! I've had my share of completed kits flying off/crashing. That split-second between you losing your grasp and the kit hitting the ground ... Terribly sinking feeling.

Me and my big mouth. What was I saying about not yet breaking a model while on the way to the club night. I was taking my recently finished 35th Marder and 72nd Warrior to the club last night. Each was in their own box on the front seat of the car. We live out in the sticks with lots of narrow winding country roads and not far from home some idiot taking up three quarters of the road clipped my wing mirror. I slammed on the breaks and the warrior flew off the seat. I turned round to try and catch the other car which hadn't stopped but by then he was gone. When I checked the box, the warriors barrel had snapped off. Fortunately it was not worse and I was not far from home so I nipped back and quickly glued it back on, and no one seemed to notice.

Allan, it is a bad feeling indeed!  And I tend to have a hair trigger temper. When tripped,  0 to 60 in an instant! Much slower to reset though... Lol!

Bish, that really sucks! I'm glad to hear it was not too bad. I drive like an 80 year old grandma when I am transporting a build to clubs... and I have learned to package and place them more protectively for transport. Can't fall to the floorboard if they are already there! And no loose objects over them either to fall on them...

Ye, i usually do put them on the floor, just typical this happens when I don't. Thing is we have had this happen before and our wing mirrors fold in at the press of a button, but on this occasion I didn't bother. It could have been worse, just a minor scuff on the wing mirror and the model was easy to fix. So I need to learn from this lesson on both counts.
