ok this is the latest group of shots. i am still waiting for word on the dash plate so i am not sure when i will actually finish this kit.

these shots are an aweful lot like the last but i wanted to show how faded the body actually looks. notice the darker green piece. that is close to the mold color. and it is the only piece that did not get a silver undercoat. i am going to try something different with that one.

thanks everyone.

the build is progressing slowly now. but the posting of pics is stalled. it seems i cannot upload to the web, my isp seems to prohibit that. not sure why so i will be calling them to find out why.

again i thank all for the kind words.

dwight the kit has taken much less time than i normally take for my a/c builds. wondering if i am missing something.

new mex, that quicksand is tough to fight.

obiwan its fun to dabble in the darkside and the build has turned into one of the best looking builds i have done so far.

jhulk my next order will be a five kit order, one being a sherman.

poiniatowski the kit has been a breeze. i warn you about the decals on the instrument panel. and the exhaust pipe (it conflicts with the drive shaft).

wipw, thanks for the comments.

wildwilliam testing as in putting my foot in verrrrrrrry slooooowly.

jcon thanks, but i dont think little soldiers would work. the a/c would have too many targets.

again thankyou for all the kind words. more updates on the way soon.

ok the next step is nearly done. installed the engine, drive train, and most of the attachments to the frame. dry brushed with silver (was all i had), and flat black (to tone down the silver). i still have to touch up the drybrushing the frame. to tie it all in. but i am wasting time, some pics.

thanks for letting me share.
this build is also in the small afv gb.

joe

had to change host sites. sorry about that.

thanks tigerman, ausf, build, and erush. i do now see a prob. put the decals on the dash plate last night, no prob, this morning however when i come home i see they have curled up on the edges and i have no decal solvent. i am going to try the "dull coat spray" method i use on problematic a/c decals. ie spray with dullcoat and use it as the glue to hold them down.

joe

Another idea you can do for next time: Paint on some Future, let it dry and then apply the decal to the dash. The smoothness of the Future should help it adhere better. Then after it lays down and dries, hit it with the Dullcoat.

Nice job, Joe. My only picture taking suggestion is to use a contrasting background. I've found that I get a lot of contrast and no reflections by using a Christmas red blanket and placing my model on it. (see below)

Good luck with the build.
