I think v. Senger und Etterlin, German Tanks of WWII, has a page or so on the E-100, sorry that it's not a link. This includes those grey tone German concept illustrations we all know and love.

Howdy, T-God!
Glad ya liked my E-100. Out of all the E-100s I've seen, my fave is Mr. Blackwell's. What a huuuuge gun! It's amazing!

Square covers over the periscopes on top of the turret? I put round covers over mine, and the periscopes inside are from the Tamiya Tiger II kit (as is a ton of stuff on my E-100! Cupola, machine gun, exhaust armor and pipes, track hangers...etc).

There is only one 1/35 E-100 kit on the market, in any media (I'm pretty sure), and the Dragon kit is it.

QUOTE: Eduard makes a PE set for the Maus. According to Bryan, the parts for the hull would be the same, but not necessarily the ones for the turret.

The other way around, Bill! The turrets are (well, would have been!) essentially the same. The hulls are completely different.

I just used a mix of PE for Jagdtigers, Tiger IIs (I lucked out and found a coupla sets for each for about 10 bucks!), and actually anything I had in my spare PE collection.

Good luck with your build, and remember: the sky's the limit with this big baby!

Bill, have you started on yours yet? Wink [;)]

Ok so I am looking at a few of the E100's on missing lynx and they are all different in one wayor another. Brian's aka j-hulk is one of the best ones followed by James Blackwells. Now they all seem to have square covers over the periscopes on top the turret . Does anyone know if they are scratch built or is there a different E100 kit out there somewhere? Thanks

Well I opened up the box and started on it anyway and there is alot of small detail that isnt included in the kit such as handles for the hatches anttenna mounts MG's for the ball mounts pioneer tools and a few other things. And the barrel seems to be a bit small compared to the jagdtigers which is a smaller caliber. Still a nice kit. Looks like its time to go through the spare parts box. Hey Bill do you know where to get a Jordi Rubio and the PE stuff from?

Artisan Mori makes a more accurate mantlet. Jordi Rubio makes a barrel for the Maus that will fit the E-100, but it's a different barrel type, but then who says the Germans wouldn't have made one that way, eventually, and Eduard makes a PE set for the Maus. According to Bryan, the parts for the hull would be the same, but not necessarily the ones for the turret. Sorry I'm no further help.
