I don't think Robert's on much anymore. I haven't seen any posts by him for a while. But sure glad to have you back! We've tried to muddle through giving zimm advice here and there where we could, but you da man!

Congrats, again, on your daughter.

does the Verlinden damaged zimmerit fit the Panther A that Dragon just recently released or is for an older kit, i ordered the new one from Great Models but i read that all Panther As had zimmerit coating on it, and i would like to go aftermarket on it instead of getting headaches with the paste.

I test fit it to the 60th anniversary release and it seems to match up. Before you buy it, you might want to see what other Zimmerit sets are available. The damaged look it really neat, but all Panther A reference pictures either have a horizontal tiled look or a ridged/combed look. This is a diamond pattern and I have looked high and low for an example of one like this with no luck. I am trying to figure out what color or what numbers to use. I am considering buying a different tiled set

If you find anything, please let me know! I have checked out Squadron's book (there is an example of a turret on pg 31 that is close, but not it) and Osprey's Panther book with no luck. I looked a lot online too. E-mail me if you get anything. jason@ronwestagency.com

The Tankpower Series by Waldemar Trojca has some pics of Panthers with the diamond pattern zimm.

The books can be bought from www.abebooks.com. Not sure which book in the series has the pics but I know there are some there, I was just looking at the diamond pattern last night.

Hope this helps!

Np.

I'll check tonight and post book number and how many pics there are.

I'd take the pics and put them on here but I don't have a scanner or digital camera. :(
