Thanks, Kumakichi.
Yeah, it'd be nice if they sold it overseas. Just that darn language problem...Perhaps they would hire me to translate the international edition!

Hey, you should put a larger pic on the forum, so that us new-b's can see what it looks like next to a NORMAL sized tank-a sherman for instance...
GOOD JOB THOUGH!!!! Not many are able to get into major mags!

Thanks, folks!

Beav, here's a link to all the E-100 pix:

Maybe I should yank it off the base and set it next to a Sherman. You can kinda get a sense of the immensity of the vehicle by comparing it to the guy leaning on the front. Just the turret alone would have been about the same size as a Sherman!

Welcome Mr. Takemura. The more the merrier when it comes to this forum.

J-Hulk, maybe you better explain the Edmonton, Shermie's Revenge, etc threads to Norio, if he is going to review past topics, and warn him of the consequences of posting his own faceTongue [:P]

Happy Modelling

Mr Takemura;

Please alow me to post my welcome to the forums to you, late though it is. You are a most welcome addition to our family. I thank you for being willing to get on here and talk with us, as well as put up with a bit of the craziness this forum brings. It is a lot of fun. Many of the members are very knowledgable people, some are "newbies", all are very nice people. Again, thank you for sharing...and please help keep Brian in line!!!

Mr. Takemura, goodness no, not THAT kind of two-shot! I forgot that expression can have a somewhat dodgy meaning in Japanese...WHOOPS! Sorry, Mr. T! Please don't boot me from the club! Disapprove [V]

By the way, folks, a fantastic diorama by Mr. T will be featured in a big spread in next month's Armour Modelling. You don't want to miss it!Smile [:)]

Brian, I'm not sure Armor Modelling is imported to the States. I haven't found any reference to it yet.

Sorry. If someone locates it, please let all know. It will probably be their biggest selling issue Stateside!!

Hi, Bill.
I've heard it turns up ocassionally in specialty shops, but I'm sure it's not exported to the States by Artbox (the publisher of Armour Modelling, Scale Aviation, and Model Graphix). Too bad they have nothing on-line...

This is true! I would love to see it.
I know you can't scan it and put it up for us to see. Wouldn't want to see the hulk turn all green and have to break out of Japanese prison!! LOL

Brian, thank you for taking the time to answer back to me, not on this, especially, but on all the other times. You are a good guy. Your girl is a lucky one! I'm sure you feel the same about her. Now just get her into modeling early!! lol

Welcome 'Easy Eight'!

It looks like I've been spending too much time looking for Utah in Canada and have missed your joining us. So, again, WELCOME!

We're not really all as odd as we seem from these posts...

Well most of us.

I suppose I'm pretty odd.....

Sort of.

I guess.

Maybe.

Bill, I can't tell you how lucky I am! Blush [:I]
Thanks for the kind words. As you can tell from my numerous posts (and little building!) that I really enjoy the exchanges here in the forums.Big Smile [:D]

Speaking of getting my honey started building, that just happened the other day! I have a few pix I may post (if she consents!) of her building a Doyushu 1/300 747-400 Reso'cha, the same aircraft we flew in to Saipan. After a quick tutorial, she was off! She completed a very nice, very clean build in about an hour. I was impressed! She has commissioned me to paint it, though.
And coincidently, she'll be doing another kind of modeling in a couple of weeks: modeling kimonos in Kyoto for a calender!Big Smile [:D]

Mr. Takemura, can I call you Norio, too? It's very hard to yobisute, though! Tongue [:P](Yobisute means to call a person by his or her name without the honorific attached)

Your English is fine! If you ever do run into some tough stuff, though, just gimme a holler!

Ron, it's too late. Norio aleady knows what a nut I am, so, by association, well, you know!Wink [;)]

Douitashimashite, Frosty-chan!
Learning Japanese isn't easy, for sure. I began studying in 1993 (whoa! 10 years already!!). But like any endeavor in life, if you're motivated and have a sincere passion for something, anything is possible!
I had studied Japanese for only a year at university (as my major) before heading off to Japan, but I had busted enough butt so that not only could I function satisfactorily in the language once I got here, I actually had a heck of a lot of fun! Then my time at university here in Japan took it all to the point of no return.
These days I don't do much "studying" at all. I pick up new words and phrases, learn idioms, and discover the all-important cultural context of the language by reading books, newspapers, and magazines, watching TV, using the language all day at work, and of course learning from all my great friends here in Japan (like Norio! He is a GREAT sensei! For Japanese, modeling, and life!). A very major influence, of course, is the future Mrs. Hulk!
So everyone here at FSM should start studying Japanese, in order to read all the articles I plan to publish in Armour Modelling and other Japanese publications!
Heck, you already need it to read Norio's monthly column in AM!

Good luck, Frosty-chan!
