Excellent work, I always loved that type of german halftrack, but seeing it next to the US one, I cant say which is better. Looking forward to round 3.

Both have done excellent jobs!

Now, I need to go get my wife and show her that she could actually build one with me Wink [;)]

Excellent work ... both of you.
It's great to see you both enjoy this hobby so much.

Also an excellent idea to produce 2 halftracks in the same build, it's kind of neat to see them compared.

Excellent use of drybrushing and and weathering to produce dirty but not overly abused vehicles.

Couple of quick comments.

Lady's first - A little more pastel chalk around the lower half of the vehicle and the tires will really set this one off. Think about your own car and how dirty it gets on the lower half after even a simple rain or a drive on a gravel road. The second minor point is on the .50 cal, if you have a pin vice, it is a good idea to drill a small holw in the end of the gun barrels. Quick and easy but sure improves the look.

Gentleman's last - I'm not sure if it's the light, or the flash from the camera or not. But there is a silvering to your decals on the side. Did you apply them over a gloss coat and then apply a dull cote to return it to a matt finish or just apply the decals straight onto the matt paint? If it's just the lighting, ignore me, but if they are silvered you may want to try this technique to prevent that in the future.

All in all another set of fine projects from you two. A nice dio showing the M3A2 rolling past the abandoned 251 would look real cool.

What's next you guys ..... I look forward to them.

I bring your attention to the 2nd round of the his and her head to head event.

In the right corner weighing in at 21,200 lbs at a height of 8' 10" wearing the olive drab color from the U.S.A. is Tamiya's 1/35 M3A2 Halftrack assembled on Lizradqueen's side of the table.

In the left corner wieghing in at 17,218 lbs and a height of 5' 8.75" bearing the mark of the the axis powers is Tamiya's 1/35 SDKFZ 251/1 having been assembled on Lizardqing's side of the table.

Of coarse they both already had their first bout with a two year old , needless to say he won and they got some extra glue out of it. Black Eye [B)]

Personally I can admit defeat in this myself. The M3A2 kit seems to be alot better in not only details but accessories also and to me just looks better as whole when put side to side. Now I just have to get another kit of one and build it myself seeing how thats what I thought I was going to be doing with this one.

And a bonus shot of hers....

Now just got to get an idea for round three. Enjoy!
