Mustang,

Sure is pretty. What do you use for your gloss coat?

Thanks Steve. I use Testors "Wet Look" clear lacquer dispensed and shot through a Badger 350 airbrush. I've learned to turn to lacquers for all high gloss automotive finishes when building custom rides.

Been a while since I spun this one up so I figured I'd give it a boost.

Can never get enough of this one Bill. Isn't that the car that the Batmobile was patterned after?

I really like this thread, here is some of my contribution:

(I believe these are either Revell or Monogram)

Hopefully I can find more in my archives....

Lets keep this going!

P.S.: Is there an MPC or other car threads too?

Ben: Man I don't think I've ever seen that truck. Which kit is that? I like that dragster as well. I do intend to keep this one going. If there's not been any activity I'll bump it up to the top again. Anybody is free to do that though. Wink

Kensar: I love those old F series trucks. Nice spin on that kit!!

Jason: Really good lookin' duo you've got there!!!

Night Stone: I like the mix'n match on the wheels and all of your builds are lookin' great. Those wheels on that GTX are from the Thunderbird Pro Stock kit aren't they?

I wish I could remember the original kit for the F-series pick-up. I think the body, hood, and truck bed are the only kit items.... I believe it was a 79 Monogram F-150 4x4 and titled as a F-150 Ranger (?). If I am not mistaken it has been re-released recently under the Revell banner. Mine was the original kit and was customized to what you see between 10-15 years ago (when the NHRA Pro-Stock Truck series was introduced). The rear wheel tubs, engine and lenco tranny were sourced from an old Ricky Smith Motor Craft sponsored T-Bird Pro Stock (Monogram). The rest of the lower chassis and upper tube chassis were scratch built. The decals came from an old NASCAR grand prix.

The dragster was the from the old 1/16 series of NHRA dragster and funnycar kits. I have other builds but I think they were AMT, MPC, JoHan, Tamiya, Fujimi, and others.

I found another one, it is 1/12 as a Revell of Germany kit, built straight from the box.

And here is another of the 1/24 Silver Bullet F-150 Pro-Stock Truck.

And here is a 1/12 Monogram Ferrari F40 that has been highly modified into an LM race version (it is not of any actual car). New lights, hood vent, front and rear spoiler, wheels, race interior, full plumbing, and much more.

This thread's bumped up once more with the completion of my General Lee......ish build that I used the Revell Charger kit for. Just couldn't use but just very little from the MPC kit.

I did this as a rework of a kit my son built and decided he didn't like modeling. I blew it apart and completely stripped it and built it up in my style. It's the first car I've built in 35ish years.

Revell 67 Chevelle SS 396.

Just finished this one up as an OOB build. A Revell 1998 Ram Air Trans Am. Being a break from the norm of detailed out builds, this one was a fun little build.

Thanks Nick. I'll have to peek in on that F-86 build of yours. I'll be looking forward to that 59 Chevy. Oh my gosh.....BMF on a late 50's car. That....is a JOB!!! Been there and done that on my AMT 59 El Camino build.
