Well ... that's it. I finally got off my butt and submitted this one to the Gallery. We'll see how it turns out.

Thumbs Up [tup] Glad to hear- I'm sure it will. Don't forget to add in the write up that it placed in a show

Thanks Camo ... as far as the ACU goes ... good for you for giving it a shot! Save one figure though and keeping working on it ... put it down when it gets frustrating and pick up again later. It's well worth it when you get done.

I'm actually thinking about doing it again, as I'm having second thoughts about how I could have done better with "Flash Out." But, like I said. All in all. I'm happy with it. It may not be perfect, nor a first place finisher, but this one has a little more meaning to me than just some resin and paint.

Even if this one got 1/2 a page in the reader's gallery in a future issue ... .I'd consider that a "best of show" as far as I'm concerned!

I'll admit ... I was a little down about it, but then I remembered how much you guys liked it. That's all that really matter's to me. Thanks again guys for all your positive influence.

We'll get the final pics and write-up posted asap....

Hey!! Very nice, maybe not the classic German Infantry piece the judges were looking for, but seeing as how you didn't play the mainstream game- glad to see you got a metal for your efforts. 3rd isn’t bad in my book, I’ve never even been to a show, I’m sure you’ve won a few though, so I’m sorry it didn’t do as well as you would have liked. Can’t wait to see this one in the pages of FSM

Well, you do what you gotta do!!!! HAHA!!!

It's good to be back. I'm looking forward getting some work done at the workbench. I actually came back a day early and was able to take this build the IPMS show in Houston this past weekend. Didn't do as well as I had hoped, but it placed 3rd in the 120mm and larger.

Oh well, I was glad to see as I walked around the showroom that it draw nice little crowds here and there ... but, I was especially proud to see that it was really one of the only models there that wasn't the "same ol' thing" that you see over and over. I can only stand to see the same ol' 120mm German Infantryman so many times ... and damn-it if it wasn't the model that won ....

It did look nice though. Black Eye [B)]

Sorry guys ... the photos and the DRAFT write-up were completed, but I wanted to take some time to re-read over my write up to make sure there wasn't anything that I was leaving out and to make corrections. But, I ran out of time.

I'll be completing this once I return as well.

Take care.... See you in 2....

I only said they bugged me, I never said take 'em off... I don't tell folks what to do, I just state what I would do or have done, and why...

BTW, thanks for the clarification on the base... Didn't know it was original thickness...

I wonder why he wrote "kisses" that way ... mmhh ... a connection to the band ... or to the Rock band topic ...

And yeah, PO called it...  It's an acronymn. KISS= Keep It Simple, Stupid...

AWWwwww.... and here I thought Hans was trying to send me some love.....

After carefully looking at the build. I've decided to add 2-3 small rubble pieces if I can fit them in there without making it look crowded. As far as the plate goes .... I think that the lettering needs to stick out a little more, but I'm not going to paint them red, or yellow, or blue ... IF I paint them, its going to be something suttle.

But, for right now, everything is going to stay just the same.
