Hi, uh.....strangers..?
Well, after reading some of the responses to the thread "Why is the Armor forum the best forum?" that ran over there a few days ago (Claim is sole responsibility of the author!--not ME!) I'm a little skeered to post over here in this "Wild West" forum, but I hope you'll enjoy this real departure for me. I'm going to build the AMT Eagle transporter.
I grew up with the show, and watched it every weekend. I wanted to be Alan Carter, had a huge crush on Sandra Benes, and hated Paul (because he had a fling with Sandra! LOL!. I actually owned one of those huge, 3-foot-long Mattel Eagle play ships--I only wish I still had it now!
Anyway, here is the kit:

And here is the kit's contents:
In literally 45 minutes, you can put together the main parts....
Some nasty seams to clean up...
I decided to do a little detailing, so I cut out the windows, and built a little rudimentary cockpit so that you'll be able to see the pilots inside, uh, I mean, Alan Carter... I cut out all four, so that they would all have the same depth, and blocked out the bottom ones. The "pilots" are 1/87 scale German soldiers modified with Squadron putty.
After I paint the inside, I'll put it together...
That's where I am so far....signing off for now....questions, corrections, and comments welcomed. If anyone has built one of these and has some good detail tips, please leave a note to me here!
