Bakster, the decals you designed match the overall aesthetic nicely. Yes

The lights bring it to life.

I think the decision to change to a metallic color for the bottom of the vehicle was a good one.  The aluminum (apologies if I got the color wrong) really makes it pop and cranks up the 60s sci-fi vibe.  Smile

(And yes this is my third attempt to post this.  lol)

Looks good Bakster!!!

And yeah, it's been a bear posting just this.

Finally, I am able to get back in. Thanks Gamera!

Jeez Louise. It is several more days of not being able to access the forum.

Yeah four, five days of 504 Timeout errors is more than a passing pain.

I've heard abut other fora having issues on bandwidth and slowdowns, but Kalmbach has been way "ahead of the curve" on this.

The Chariot looks good though.

Hey thanks, Capn!

Very sadly, I will be moving the remainder of this build away from FSM. The never ending outages with this site is intolerable. It's gone too long that spans many years. I tried to be patient for the fix, but honestly, I don't see an end in sight.

I will post a link once I am setup. I really hope you guys will follow me there but I don't expect you to. It can be a tough thing to leave what you know and what you have grown with. So, I have no expectations. Just hoping.

Yeah, it's taking me forever to post stuff tonight. Please let us know how it goes.

Hey Cliff, I am moving to Modelers Social Club. I do not have a direct link to the build because I have not set it up yet. Just telling you now where I am going because we have no idea how long this FSM site will flounder. It may reach point where it tanks completely. As is,  it is already useless.

I am advised that you are a member at MSC. I'd encourage people to leave the FSM  madness. The people at MSC are super kind and super helpful. The site seems to have nice tools and capabilities THAT WORK! Also, it is heavily monitored and administrated over. Unlike here where who knows if the current problem is even being looked at. Of course, if they did post something, good luck getting in to see it. Communication here is atrocious. I will hold my tongue with more but I will say this: I am so unhappy how FSM treats their customer base. I am done here.

So, look for me there. There is bit of learning curve there that I am working through but that comes with all new things.

First time in a long time I feel optimistic about a build forum. Btw. I have found that Littletimmy is at MSC and it promises to be a grand reunion. LT is one of many that migrated there.

Once I get my build posted I will post a link, if possible. If unable to get in here, you know where I am and you can easily search me out. The build should be in the science fiction area.

Hope to see you all there.

Hey Cliff, I am moving to Modelers Social Club.

Apparently it's popular here on Friday 09AUG24, as the site is crashed.

Wonder if it's too many FSM types jumping ship.

Sadly, if enough do, Kalmbach will have a false sense of efficiency, as with a falling number of unique views, the less bandwidth the site will require.

Capn, MSC crashed? If yes, I have been in out all day, no crashing that I saw. Maybe a transitory glitch? Or ... maybe yes influx issue. But I am in it right now, no issue.

And that is funny about the potential effect on FSM and falling views.

Well, it turns out I can get in, I just have to disable the VPN and turn AdBlocker completely off.  And it's not that much faster for me than FSM presently is.

Will have to see.

And, it's not so very much faster than FSM presently is.

Having to run the tablet on the edge of my desk will be interesting.

The spellcheck is passing handy, I just wish it was toggled on or off as a default.

Only time will tell.

Hey Capn, glad you are in. I had a few gafs as well. The main issue for me is that I was using my iPad. Apple software does not like these forums and FSM was no exception. Once I used my phone things started making more sence.

As for speed, I am finding it night and day faster than FSM. On a good day with things going well at FSM, probably about the same. In FSMs current state, I find it no contest.

Glad you made in over there. Hoping it goes well and we can leave this nonsense behind.

Awesome!!! I still need to move on over to MSC, I check it every now and then but never seem to get around to posting.

Anyway our IPMS show was Sat. and we ended up with a Boba Fett and Dr. Smith figure sitting around on the table at the raffle for hours before someone showed up to pick up Smith. Gave me daydreams of Fett showing up with a bounty on Smith.

Smith: 'A bounty!?! On me!?!?! Must have been a big one!'

Fett: 'A nickel. Someone paid me a nickel to kill you....'
