Thanks for the feedback guys. I'l certainly post more pics as soon as I can. Forgot to mention the scale was 1/2500th. My biggest problem now is the warp engines. The kit engines seem kinda wimpy on this sucker, but 1400th scale ones would be way too big.

Let's try this:

Very neat idea! I hope you will be posting progress pictures. I'm really interested to see how your carrier turns out.

For anybody interested, here's a progress pic of the "kitbash" I'm working on:

http://rongeorge.com/albums/uploadhere/carrierprogress.jpg

It's based on the Galaxy saucer and a design I've had in my brain for a while. While trying to find a "shape" to use for the secondary hull I found that I liked a Hasbro Naboo Starfighter in storage. I cut off everything. The picture depicts a saucer that was temp. taped to this. I'm actually farther along, with the two connected, the deflector "morphed" into the bottom of the sec. hull and the top aft filled in. Next is impulse engines, phaser strips/photorps, and finally warp engines. Actually kind of a fun project.
