The Main Flightdeck Part is now attached to the Zui. To say that this is Great Etch is an understatement. It has to be one of the best examples of the Etchers Art that I have ever seen. More to come soon.....Cheers mark

OK onto the next Phase. Before I could add the Flight Deck, The Stern Boatdeck was completed or it would have been a nightmare to fit the Launches. The bottom Part of the Flightdeck is now add. The Ruler gives you a size gauge and rhe Hull weathering has been started. More to come soon.....Cheers mark

Adding the Degaussing Cables is now underway so will have some more Pics up shortly....Cheers mark

There could be a possibility you might need another set of Degaussing cables to finish off the Zuikaku though it's possible you might have enough. Of course the Zuikaku is a longer subject  and you have alot of straight aways before you get to the bow which zig zags a little bit.

you can use the pics I have of what I did on my Chuyo thread as a example of how to do it though I am still not finished with the bow degaussing cables yet.

Actually if you want to do the Zuikaku again someday try the Fujimi kit it is a new mold 1/700 scale kit.

Here is the link to Hobby search showing the Zuikaku you might be blown away with the detail and it also shows the instructions as well and BTW there are 2 version out for the Fujimi Zuikaku the 1941 version and the 1944 version.

Fujimi also has both the 1941 and 1944 Shokaku as well.

Thank you for your Comments Eric they are always appreciated. After a Month long wait the Degaussing Cables have arrived so the tedious job of adding them has begun. More to come soon.....Cheers mark

depending where you place the cables you may have to do some trimming of the cables to get them to fit between any sponsons since they are supposed to go through them on the real ship but also when trimming the cables you can use the leftover pieces to patch in other areas so don't toss them out.

And the degaussing set comes sandwiched between 2 sheets of plastic sheet so what I do is cut out the pieces from the fret while they are still covered and you don't have to worry about fly away parts.
