thanks TB , this is what I used , I suppose it's something like your future , doesn't give a brilliant shine , so I really use it as a sealer coat .

Amazing and quick work, less then 3 months in and you've already done more than I could in a year - and so much better too! Your knowledge is evident and your ability to recreate it in such detail impressive. Thanks for posting these incredible pictures of your work.

I finally got the fore main sail on , couldn't believe what I did . the top pic shows it well , on the yard to the right of centre are the 2 clue blocks , they are on the other side of the sail on the left , had to take the whole *&^&^ thing of and redo it . anyway the yard is on loosely , still tinkering with it .

Don't feel bad.  I did the same thing, but with individually tied robands.

Next time, just redo the blocks, not the whole sail!

Hey!

I Disagree! What you are doing has even left that Mouthy Son of mine speechless! My boy speechless, WOW!! You have certainly helped a lot of folks who wonder what is that supposed to look like. That's the first step in a Sailing Ship Model, Sails or no sails!

Proff. Tilley would offer soft criticism coupled with a complete explanation of what's going on here. Your photos are more than clear enough even for the most "Neo" of SailShip Neophytes out there.

You have done it with pictures and words. Kudos to you!! And thanks for creating a moment of silence or two for me!

your making me blush TB , your words mean a lot to me mate . and I'm sure your son isn't that bad , but thank him also for the kudos .

this is where I really miss the prof. because I have added extra decks , I have had to move a lot of things around , he would have really helped me , where to belay things to .

the main sail is on , I haven't tied down the clue lines yet , as they would be in the way of the ratlines .
