                        DURR: Have you tried "invisible thread?" I got mine, black and a clear-like light gray, at Jo-Ann Fabrics. Read about it somewhere. Works pretty good.

                        Hi Jeff,

                        Graham here, great to meet you in Atlanta. Victory at Sea at 2am, is the way to finish a great Nats. Hope your ankle is better. I will help in the group build. I have a Captain class frigate, (Evarts DE) about half done, in RN colours. As soon as I have my main computer back up, rather than the wive's lptop, I will post pictures.

                        Jeff, looks like I'm not going to make this GB due to the time it is going to take to remodel my basement, finish repairs to the house, and re-start my "frigate" project.

                        I know this is a bit late, but could I join this GB? I'm thinking of building the Airfix 1/600
                        HMS Campbeltown from the WW2 Destroyer set, or possibly the Tribal-class destroyer.

                        I originally thought of building my Chinese 1/200 Luda-class destroyer for the GB, but this is a large,
                        complex kit which will require a lot of extra detail and fine paintwork, and there's no way I want to "rush"
                        finishing it! The Airfix 1/600 destroyers are much more suited to a GB.

                        I signed up on this GB with a 1/700 Burke, along with a couple other hulls, but I'm actually nearing completion of my 1/350 Burke. Am I gonna take a fish in the guts if I make a substitute, you crazy torpedo mongerers?

                        Much bigger than Umi's Minekaze Class. There is a Shimakaze in that Class, but I am building the experimental one, which was a one of the kind. It is just under 6' OA.

                        I have their Balch kit in the box. Very nicely cast. Beautiful kit.

                        I've built two of their DD kits, their '42 version of the Farenholt, and a kit bashed USS Laffey. I also built their USS Juneau kit. I put Juneau and Laffey into a diorama.
