Rob,
Unbelievable work, I have no words.
Try getting in touch with NASA in Houston or the Cape. I bet they can find a place for it.
That really needs to be shown off man.

Sorry about the late reply here, but I missed your final post or two and having followed this since the beginning just wanted to add my YesYesYes to all the others.

What a heck of a piece of work, Rob.

Nice build! You'll definitely want to cover it with some sort of clear plastic case. No point in letting that beautiful model get all dusty and dingy.

Congratulations on your granddaughter, too!

Congratulations Rob, on a great achievement. I too echo the praised of the others on your skill and talent.

As to display ideas is there a science or history or some such museum in your area? Also, a clear acrylic display cover would be worth the money- regardless where your piece is displayed.

This is truly the most impressive build I have witness in these forums Bow Down. Your attention to detail is truly masterful and sets an example for others to follow. Now if you happen to get bored with nothing to do, you might consider adding a stratch built Redstone or an Atlas to add to your Mercury capsule.

Congratulations on a truly spectacular build, Lancair! Thanks for taking all of us along on the ride with you - getting a closer look at your technique and process has been an incredible experience and you've raised the bar for all of us with your attention to fine details. Well done!

I don't really know but in my minds eye, I see someplace like a library, or museum that has a display of NASA's history.  I mention a library because sometimes they like to have models for their displays.  Whatever it would be, it should be out there for others to enjoy.  In my opinion, it is worthy of it.  Really nice work.  If you do find a home for it, please let us know.  I would love to hear about it.

Maybe someone-else here will have some ideas.

Thanks Steve.  Glad you enjoyed the ride.

I haven't thought much about displaying her.  Any ideas?

Greeting Rob. This ... looks ... stunning!  I just can't say enough about how awesome a job that you did. It's gorgeous.  Watching you put this together was like watching a TV show that you can't get enough of. You should be extremely proud of what you did.  My only question to you is... what are you going to do with it now?  Something like this should be put on display where people can enjoy it.  Seriously, this has to be displayed.

Thanks for the great ride.  I really enjoyed it.

Thanks guys.

Calling this complete. Here's a few pictures. I'm finishing up the base which seems to be harder than the Capsule.....

Thanks for watching this.  I had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
