What airbrush to buy?

Ain't that the truth. But look at it this way. If someone of the same skill level as themselves can get a finer line out of one airbursh than the other, which one is easier to use or better? Obviously someone with more skill can get a finer line with the badger, but the same person could get an EVEN finer line with the Iwata.

Yes sir, it is a very strange engine. I think Mr Peeler had smoked some enamel and seen the wife of Charles Singer dancing with a horse while Frau Blücher was whipping them with an Aztek; then he designed it. But it is an amazing machine (and God knows I don't like Paasches but this one is definitely apart, so I bought one; by the way, Paasche assistance is amazing even at such a long distance; I had direct contact with manufacturers a few times in my life : Paasche is great, Efbe is top, Ken Schlotfeld from Badger is a great man, Bell Creative, new owners of Aerograph are very nice, Gabbert from former East Germany is... from former East Germany, a pity as they make some great airbrushes, the PRS and Triplex , I don't know the others; what about you ? )
By the way, despite the fact I don't like Paasche, apart from the AB, I just bought their flow pencil , just to try. Has anybody here any experience with it ?

Actually it is not fair comparing those two I don't believe.
The Iwata has a faster taper on the needle.
I think a better comparison would be the Badger 3155 Hybrid as it has a faster tapering needle. The 155 Anthem was designed as a T-shirt airbrush so it needs the larger nozzle/needle for more paint volume and thicker paints.

Actually 'Iwata' is an unfortunate typo. Originally the name was 'Iwana Badger'.

Still think a home depot roller would be just as good

I saw the 3155 hybrid at the nats, i was thinking of getting it, but then this vendor offered me this great deal, get the Iwata silent compressor, get the hp-bcs for free!! needless to say i couldn't resist.

Mike yeah the compressor was about 50 bucks over priced. (compared at dixieart) But i got the hp-bcs set with the 10 ft hose which goes for about 80 bucks on dixieart, so i figured it was a good deal and I went ahead with it.

Hey Mike! The cost of an Iwata compressor: $50 over-priced. The cost of this thread: priceless! I hope we're all still friends-this was a fun thread.

PS-Mr. Tankmaster-Iwata's are excellent ABs. I even own one.

Trowlfazz, i literally burst out laughing when i read the last line of your post. I dunno why i just find it hilarious that you own and Iwata.

Tanky-I also have a Thayer & Chandler, DeVelbiss and a Paasche.

PS-my main problem with my Iwata (can't remember the model #) is that even though I'm a big guy I have small fingers and the gravity-feed AB I had was so sliml it would rotate in my grip-the Badger's bigger and that's why I use it.
